I would like to resolve this issue but they won't work with me. I am a 2nd time buyer. My first truck I had problems with it all the time. Then it start leaking antifreeze. They told me it would cost 700 dollars to fix it. They told me also if I fixed that I would start having problems with the water system. So they talked me into another car. When I got the car the engine light was on, so they put it in the contract that they would fix it. When I got there I also told them to check the front end cause my ball joints were going out, of course I had to pay 75 to get that fixed. They fixed the front end partially and did not fix what they put in the contract. They say they did, but the car is running worse than it ever has. They want their payment and I want a working car without hassle. I thought they were awesome there, they fooled me completely. Plz don't go there they will treat u right to reel you in and then they don't care as soon as you drive off the lot. There is more to this story also.
I bought a 2005 Ford Freestar from them in April of 2017 for $8000. I bought the bumper to bumper warranty through them. The deductible for repairs is $75. I'm driving the 26 miles home and on a hill the car starts bucking, the brakes start slipping, it's shifting hard. They tell me I have to drive the car back to them, pay the deductible. The repairs takes 3 weeks. I keep calling back up there and they tell me that the mechanic hasn't gotten around to it. For three weeks. 11 days later, the transmission goes out. They tell me that the pumps don't work. I tow it up there, pay the deductible, they tell me that I'll be getting a new transmission. I get it back and check the serial #. It comes back from a junkyard. It only has a few thousand miles less than the original. They tell me "so what."
Soon after that, the brakes lock up with my kids in the car, "master cylinder failure"
They tell me to get it to them. Well, it has to be towed. They said they'll reimburse me up to $50 (even though it's a $125 tow).
You pay for the parts, I'll do the work. So they got me the parts.
3 days later, the back right tire starts smoking.
Turns out, the guide pins on brakes had frozen, I tow it up to them, they want $75, I tell them I fixed your last repair you can pay for this, give me the parts (made me pay copay that equaled the deductible) to fix it on their lot
I get a notice on Carfax, the transmission they put into my car is recalled, (2006, not valid because it's in the wrong car).
Two weeks later, kids in the car coming back from St. Louis and the A/C fails. I get it to my mechanic, he vacuumed it out the oil in the A/C and it was full of metal shavings. The pump wasn't getting enough pressure at idle. They don't cover A/C systems. I tell them it was faulty when they sold it to me just a couple of months earlier. They said "You have to prove it was." So I decide I'm returning this car, the person I've been dealing with this entire time is Jessica *** and she says fine. That was seven weeks ago, they auctioned it off for $100. I checked my credit score because I'm applying for a loan and they're trying to collect the entire $8000 from me.
I would never ever ever EVER do business with these people again. For anyone who thinks this is their last option do not, I repeat, DO NOT do it. They are INCONSIDERATE, GREEDY, and not helpful at all. The associates are extremely rude and have no care towards their customers. For starters not even two weeks after I got my vehicle from there the entire front driver side ball joint, axle, tire, everything fell completely off while driving down the road. I got it pulled into a gas station (barely) and decided to call the next morning because it was so late. The next day when I called I got nothing but attitude from them , as they talked down on me like as if I was no one and they did not offer to help me in any way. Basically I was told tough luck so I told them they needed to have it towed somewhere to get fixed they informed me that if they have it towed anywhere it was going to be considered a repossession and that I would not get the money I put down on it back. After hours of going back and forth yet still getting nowhere with them I decided to have it towed and fixed on my own because I could not go without a source of transportation. $900 later everything was fixed and I let it all go. (There was already a dent in the front driver side so I'm sure this wasn't the first time.) So 3 weeks after all this a gentleman stops me at the store and tells me the cords are showing on the front two tires so I go to look because I don't pay much attention to that stuff and sure enough they are. Even though just 3 WEEKS earlier I had just gotten 2 new ones put on. So I take it the shop to have 2 new ones put back on and to check the alignment even though it was driving fine and they notice the two back ones are worn down too. (Car mart told me they put 4 new tires on it just 5 weeks before this.) So I tell them to go ahead and replace them all and they tell me that all of the tires are tilted in, the whole thing is rusted underneath, everything under needs to be replaced, they couldn't even align it without putting oil on it and letting it sit for a few days, and that this thing should've never passed inspection. So I tell them to go ahead and fix it all, as you can probably imagine that was about $700 again. So in 5 weeks of having the vehicle not only have I spent $1600 in repairs but also my $460 car payment AND the money I put down. At this point I'm furious. I called up there multiple times, explained the situation over and over to what seemed like every person they had working there EXCEPT a manager what I had asked for. I got told every time I called that the managers were on the phone, busy, or not in the office. (This went on for a week.) I finally had enough and went into the business one day after being told that no one was available and surprise surprise no one is doing anything. All the could do was blame it on the place who does the inspections (campus auto) and that they couldn't do anything for me unless campus was willing to help. So another week and a half goes by and I finally hear back that campus said they won't do anything except give me a free alignment and that none of my money will be reimbursed to me. At this point I just say whatever and come to terms with everything. Another week after that I find out that 2 axles and wheel bearings need to be replaced THEN like that wasn't bad enough THE ALTENATOR GOES OUT!!!!! I've finally had enough so I go in there and tell them out of the 2 months I've had it that I've maybe been able to drive it for 3 WEEKS. I show them receipts of everything done and the ONLY solution they can come up with is to get me a loan to pay for everything and I pay it back. ON TOP OF A 460 CAR PAYMENT. Meanwhile I am a full time student working a full time job and dealing with all of this. They have not helped me with expenses for repairs on things that have been wrong with the vehicle for months, shown professionalism, or even apologized once for everything. They wouldn't let you make a payment over the phone, you were only allowed 4 payments online and the rest have to be made in the store. Who has time to go in there weekly, biweekly, or even once a month, however you're paying. They would call me 6 times a day and leave 4 or 5 voicemails when I was ONE day late because I didn't have time to go in there between work and school. There was a handful of times they showed up at my house, my parents house, my friends houses and tell me I needed to come to the office with them and when I would ask why they would say because I hadn't made my payment that day when I had JUST made my payment that morning. Embarrassing. They have no manners, no courtesy, they are there to make their money and take advantage of people. So I do not recommend doing business with them at all. Avoid it at all costs for your sake.
P.s. they don't report any payments to your credit so it never helps you.
