Review: Bank account debited even though I have proof of cancellation prior to the cancellation policies deadline.

I originally booked a hotel stay with America's Best Value Inn on their website on 3/10/15. On 4/21/15 due to weather I called the America's Best Value Inn hotel at [redacted] to cancel my stay. The stay was for 4/24/15-4/26/15. The front desk advised me that I needed to contact central reservations at 888-315-2378. I did so immediately after my call to the front desk. Central reservations assured me that I would not be charged for the stay and sent me a cancellation confirmation email. My cancellation confirmation number is either [redacted] or [redacted]. The cancellation policy in my original reservation email states "If reservation not cancelled by 6PM 1 day before arrival or guest does not show then 100 percent of stay will be charged". I called three days in advance. On 4/27/15 I see that the cost of the stay ($108.10) was debited from my bank account. I immediately called the hotel front desk and they advised me that I needed to call central reservations and have them provide proof to the front desk that I did in fact cancel the stay and on which day I cancelled. Central reservations told me that they could not provide the front desk documentation, but they gave me the cancellation confirmation number and told me to provide that to the front desk. The front desk advised that was not sufficient enough and that they needed paper documentation via fax from central reservations. I again called central reservations and they told me that since the reservation was already cancelled there was nothing they could send the front desk. I printed my cancellation confirmation email and faxed it to the front desk. The confirmation email states the day in which I cancelled. I called the front desk to see if they received my fax. She said she did, however that wasn't good enough proof. Extremely upset at this time I called central reservations and again asked if they could please send proof. They said they could not so I asked her if I could please conference a call between central reservations, myself and the front desk. The front desk told central reservations that they never received notice of my cancellation and that they needed proof. Central booking said they couldn't do that, but gave the front desk my cancellation confirmation number. The front desk advised that wasn't good enough. Central reservations and the front desk were arguing back and forth with each other until central booking hung up myself and the front desk. I told the front desk that I didn't know what else that I could possibly do to get my money back. This was an error between their systems and I am now being punished for it and cannot receive my money back. I followed their policies and there is nothing more I can do.Desired Settlement: All I want is my money back. I don't have a lot of money and once my cell phone bill is debited today I will go negative in my bank account and be charged a $30 overdraft fee from my bank. The $108.10 should have never been debited from my account. Now, I am out $138.10.
