I recently had a new roof installed by American Roofing and Construction Inc and was very pleased with the job they did The job was completed within days of calling The crew was prompt and completed the job in hours The crew also did an excellent job with clean up I have already recommended American Roofing to others and will use them again for other projects

My beautiful architectural roof was installed in one day! [redacted] responded to questions in a timely manner and was well-known and respected by my insurance agent and adjuster Working with he and his company was a pleasant experience from start to finish, and I'm extremely pleased with the outcome

We have inspected the roof and taken pictures, the roof has no problemsThe bees are coming under the freeze board where the board meets the brick and the squirrels have chewed holes in the crown molding and the fascia boardThere is evidence of further damage where someone has covered a squirrel hole with metal, right by that hole you can see where bees have burrowed holes in fascia boardYou must have dialed the wrong number saying someone was rude , we are nice peopleI am sorry you are having this problemI suggest you buy a pellet gun and some wasp spray to kill the bees and squirrelsFeel free to call me [redacted] , [redacted]

[redacted] , replaced my roof the 1st time in and I was pleased with the job he did then Since it had been years since then, I was glad to know he was still in business I called him to get an estimate for adding a "cricket" at the back of my chimney During his inspection, he said I had hail damage He worked with my insurance claims person, whom he knew, which resulted in my insurance copaying for the new roof ***'s crew built the "cricket" and then replaced the roof They looked for bad decking and replaced one area that showed some rotting Covered roof with synthetic underlayment (felt), which is better based on my researchWorkers were professional Covered plants [redacted] also can replace rotten facia and soffit boards if needed Cleanup was good and detailed Completely satisfied

I received a bid for a new metal roof from Preston on 4/23/I was told they could start my roof the next weekI paid 1/$ down to order supplies on 4/and was told my order would be in on 4/and they would start on 4/Then Preston called my husband and said my order didn’t come in on that truck so it’d be in on Tuesday 5/they would bring it to our house on 5/and start our roof on 5/Then we get another call from Preston and Denise saying our order would not be there until Friday 5/Preston said he would rather pay someone to just bring the materials to our house and his guys could start first thing Monday morning 5/Well no one brought the supplies and I waited all morning Monday morningI had an appt in Tyler for Monday afternoon 5/so I called Denise and she told me her guys were finishing up another job and they would be at my house first thing Tuesday morning 5/Tuesday morning 5/Denise called me at 7:am to let me know their roofers were still finishing the trim on another job but would be at my house by noon to startNoon came and went and no roofers came and no one called so at 1:I called Denise back and she acted surprised that they were not hereShe said she would call and see what happenedShe called me back after pm to say there was a problem with a dip in the historical house they were working on and the owner Mr Randall L*** didn’t like how the roof looked so he had the guys redo itDenise promised me the guys were going to work late that night until they finished that job then they would be at my house at 8:Wednesday morning 5/Then the same thing again as the prior days on the morning of 5/no one showed up or calledBy this time we rather just be done with American Roofers but we already paid the $2,for the supplies which had still not been brought to our houseSo my husband and I both put calls in to both Preston and DeniseDenise told me at 9:on Wed 5/that the roofers were on their way to Athens to Metal Mart to pick up my supplies and would be at my house by noon(Preston had said previously that the supplies were being delivered to their shop in Corsicana)At noon when no one had shown up or called I called Preston who told me he would call and find out where they were because he knew they had been released from the previous job and on their way to get our suppliesPreston called me back at 12:on 5/and said his roofers were sitting at Metal Mart in Athens to get my supplies but the were closed for lunch until 1:30, so they would be at my house by 3:and he would have them start on the front side of the roof and work until darkI explained how frustrated we were with me waiting and rescheduling my whole week already for a job that was supposed to be done in days and they had already wasted of my days and hadn’t even started yetPreston said he discussed it with Mr Randall *** and they would compensate me by covering the turtles that I have on the back of my roof with new decking and shingles instead of the turtle caps I had paid for in the bidHe said it cost more to cover them flush with the metal than just capping themMy husband was concerned with that because we don’t have an attic and if all the turtles were covered there wouldn’t be a way for the heat to get outPreston said he would have his guys put in a ridge ventThen at 3:guys Fernando and Doug show up with a trailer and to unload some suppliesThey proceed to tell me they would return on Thursday 5/morning to startI explained to them that Preston said they would be starting when they arrived until darkThey told me they couldn’t because they didn’t have a drill or the metal edging to start the jobI immediately picked up the phone and called Preston, he asked to speak with FernandoI handed Fernando the phone and he talked with him then hung up the phoneFernando said Preston would go get the metal edging they needed and he’d get the drills from the shop and be back at 6:Thursday morning 5/to startHe asked if I’d be up at 6:and I let him know I definitely would because I would be getting my kids ready for schoolSo once again another wasted dayWell as they had done each day prior on the morning of 5/no one had shown up or called me by amI called the owner Randall *** and told him of all the frustrations I had and felt they must not want our businessI had already sat and waited on them each day for full days and I had plans to go to a family Reunion out of town on Saturday and needed the roof to be completedRandall *** told me this isn’t how he runs his business so let him make a few phone calls and he’d call me backAbout mins after we got off the phone Fernando drove in my drivewayIt was 8:am, he was on the phone with Mr *** when he arrivedHe walked up and said, “I know you are mad, that was my boss *** at me because you called him mad.” I told him I was mad about the same thing they keep telling me they would be here to start and not showing up or callingHe then said he still didn’t have the edging so he couldn’t have started at 6:Preston was going to Metal Mart in Athens to pick it up and would bring it to himI told him he had a phone, he could of called and told me that instead of having me waitFernando apologized and said he should have calledHe said he was just going to sweep off the roof and start closing in the turtles without heat pipes until Preston brought the edgingI asked if he was working alone and he said no, he told Doug they didn’t have the parts so just come laterHe arrived about 9:Preston called and said metal mart was cutting the metal and would have it ready after 1:so he’d have it here after 2:I told him I’d be gone to get my kids at 2:but would be back as soon as I picked them upI told him once again I needed to be out of town on Saturday for a family reunionHe reassured me they would be done by Friday afternoonHe said it goes really fast after they get the edging onRandall *** called me back and said the same thing Preston had just told me and said it was his fault that they were late starting my roof because he is very particular and wants his roofs done correctly the first timeHe said he would be the same way with my roofHe wouldn’t release them until he checks the job to make sure it’s up to his standards but it only takes days so they would for sure be done by Friday eveningPreston showed up at 3:with the edging for them to startFernando and Doug worked until close to dark and Fernando said they had to leave because he had a headlight out on his company truckThey returned Friday morning 5/at 8:and worked all day FridayFriday afternoon at 2:pm they said they couldn’t finish because they didn’t have the ridge ventFernando said he had called Preston and Preston checked with Metal Mart but the were already closed so they would have to go get it at am Sat morning then come back to complete the jobI was of course very upset because I had to cancel my plans to go to my family reunionBoth Fernando and Doug said they were almost finished, all they needed was the ridge vent then they’d be doneSo they worked until after pm Friday nightThey said they would be back Saturday morning around am with the ridge vent and complete the roofSaturday morning 5/at 9:my husband gets a message from Fernando saying he would see us Monday morningWe called Fernando back and he said he had gone to Metal Mart and they were closed on Saturdays and he called Home Depot and they didn’t carry the ridge vent that he neededSo we cancelled our trip to our family reunion for nothingMonday morning 5/Doug was here by 8:waiting on FernandoDoug said metal mart told him the black soft strips they had in the box already here was the ridge vent so they had it all alongFernando showed up at 9:am and they began the completion of the roofAt 10:Preston called me to say Fernando had called him and said they were almost done and I could just give Fernando the check for the remainder balance $2,I told him I was expecting them to come check the job to make sure it was right like they had told me they would previouslySo Preston said he could come but he couldn’t get here until 1:Preston showed up about 1:then left to get pieces of tin to replace where Doug had fell thru over my back deckPreston returned at 2:I went ahead and paid him the remaining $2,so I could leave at 2:to pick my kids upThey roofers finished up and cleaned their mess and leftI was just ready for them to be goneThis ordeal took all of my time for over a week along with a full weekend rescheduledAmerican Roofing, not Randall *** or Preston offered to discount the price for them wasting my time for days and rescheduling my reunion at allI guess my time isn’t valuable to themThe complete experience was a nightmareRandall *** never came to check the work done as he said he would which was one of the excuses he gave for the roofers not starting on timeI definitely will not recommend them to anyone else and I hope and pray this roof doesn’t leak because no telling how long it would take to get it fixed
