If only we could rewind the time! I wanted to hire a painter to be the cherry on top of our recently remodeled condo, but to say that American Painting Company failed to accomplish this, is a major understatement My wife and I recently remodeled our bathrooms (custom shower door with special tint, new bidets, vanities and granite counter tops), kitchen (new appliances, granite counter tops and sink) and garage (new cabinets system), which were all devalued by this company, we also put a claim in with USAA because of the damage! When we met with Marcelo, the owner, who was kind and informative about painting and Feng Shui, so my wife and I felt comfortable in our decision to hire him and American Painting Company Please do not make the same choice as us, If you are in the market for a "Professional," please look elsewhere! We really want to inform other prospective clients in a matter that we wish we could have been prior to making a costly mistake It was a nightmare from day one of what turned into a troublesome day job, although we were told - days There was lack of communication between the owner and his painters, so they painted ceilings and walls that were not to be painted They did little, to no prep at all, so we have paint and overspray everywhere in our home and there was no clean up at all (at the end of each workday or at the end of completing the job) There are no sharp lines (cutting in) between my walls and either the ceilings or the baseboards There is paint from the walls bleeding onto our baseboards and vice versa There are also a lot of areas in which they should have gone over with a second coat, so our original paint doesn't show through Although we made an extensive and detailed punchlist as well as marking these areas blue painters tape, they still did not follow through and simply ignored these areas leaving the walls and work incomplete Marcelo also painted our cabinets and what a horrific ordeal that was, overall color looks amazing, but there was no attention to detail, brush strokes so deep that the original color bleeds through, missed spots where it's just primer showing, no sharp lines so it bleeds into the back-splash, ceiling and walls I really wish there was a way to get our money back or be compensated, because we are left with needing to hire another paint company to fix this mess and also professional cleaners to try to clean up the overspray on all of our brand new appliances, carpet, wood floor, stone tiles, vanities, mirror, toilets, garage cabinets, counters, shower door with special tint (which someone too a straight razor to remove some overspray and ruined it) Also, they used our black granite kitchen sink to clean their equipment and brushes and broke a light cover offered no compensation He did apologize countless times throughout their entire job period, for how poorly their work and prep quality was, but made no effort to improve the remainder of work they had left to complete It was like the basically chalked us up as a loss and showed no care or pride in their work Marcelo also mentioned that this job was more than he expected and their profit margin less than they expected, but if they would have done it right the first or even the 3rd time they would have been able to make more of a profit and saved at least days of work Although we tried to end the services early, Marcelo, reminded us that we were bound contractually to owing him, we allowed him to make good on his word, that we will be really happy with how the work turns outHe did not live up to his end of the bargain At this point we just want to save others from the nightmare of hiring this company What should have been the icing on the cake for our home upgrade project, instead we are left $poorer and a disaster of a home that requires extensive cleanup as you cannot touch a single doorknob or light switch or appliance in the home without feeling crusted paint under your fingers I will also post this to Yelp w/pictures to depict what we had endured

From my first phone contact until the entire installation was completed, the company did an outstanding job They were prompt and efficient in every phase of the job and met and/or exceeded every commitment they made to us Due to unforeseen problems incurred by the primary user of the stairlift with the original model we ordered, we requested an "upgrade" to a model she could manage better This was done with no problem for us Although I did not have any experience with stairway lifts, I did do some research on such things as features, costs, etc I Found the price to be fair and reasonable The price was exactly as quoted and there were no hidden charges Based on our experience so far, I would readily recommend the D P Stairlift Company to anyone needing their type of service

Review: American Painting was contracted to power wash my home, stain my outside deck and paint our front door and railings. We agreed to a specific deck stain and during the application process, the painter decided to change the stain product without our approval even though someone was home during the process. We were extremely unhappy with the new stain product as well as the actual application. We immediately requested that they return to sand & re-stain the deck and they have not. Additionally, the painting on the front door was also not done to our satisfaction. The owner of the company has consistently not returned our calls. This has been going on for more than 6 weeks.Desired Settlement: Painting company to return and sand/re-stain our deck and repaint the front door.
