bought a car last week. Cadillac. Feel totally bamboozled. Although nice, no-one was consistent in reports about car. Didn't notice the fan noise under the hood. Said they'd not heard it. Told us things about the car that were not true, for example something as simple as "sorry it doesn't have the seat heaters" but, it actually does.
This father and son(s) team didn't have reviews, wouldn't print us reviews, or said "yeah, hold on maybe we can" but shifted conversation to other partner as we asked questions.
Lost the keys a couple of times. They were in and out of the office several times the father and son. Granted it was getting to be closing time, but they seemed very chaotic. Told us that they sell cars to the same people over and over due to great vehicles and their service. I doubt this.
Sick now to report that the car looked so clean and good we purchased it.
Got an oil change immediately after purchase and was told it was1 qt low.
Drove it on vacation out East for Thanksgiving (this year 2015) and on our way home, car started to sound like a jet plane. Horrible noise from under the hood. Engine rattled and hummed, ultimately it died, or blew up on side of the road. We've owned it a week and 1/2.
Our mechanic now says there are a host of things possibly wrong. Likely codes were wiped on this SUV after American Imports got it from the dealership nearby, (where they get all their great cars) before they put it on their lot.
"we don't want to sell you this car tonight" was what we heard the day we went to see it, cause it was such a great car. Right. It was also on "special pre-holiday" pricing.
Very upset and angry with these folks. DO NOT purchase any cars from American Imports, 8606 Pendleton Pike, Indianapolis. I'm surprised these guys have been around in business this long. I saved cash for a whole year to buy a used car, and really took a beating on this one. They will likely try to clear this review of their place.
I will continue to warn anyone and everyone that will listen to my experience, to stay clear of this place, and to also warn their friends and family.

When I called, multiple times, to inquire about the title, so that we could plate the car, I was given the run around. No one seemed to know anything, until about a week after purchase. It was then revealed that the title was mailed. To the incorrect address. When I called about that part of the story, the "secretary", and I use the term loosely, ended up YELLING at me and telling me that I was wrong about everything. I spoke to the owner, who assured me that as soon as the title was returned by the USPS, he would call me IMMEDIATELY. That was over a week ago, and my sons temporary plates are set to expire this week. I called this morning to see what the heck was going on, and was told that the title arrived back at their office last Friday. No one called.
The owner doesn't seem to care about anything other than making a buck, and the staff is unprofessional and rude.
I would NEVER do business there again and will warn people against going there.
DO NOT USE BUY A CAR FROM THIS BUSINESS! They sold me a van that they said was running perfectly. I took it to my mechanic to check it over: new water pump, new power steering pump, and all new brakes. According to my mechanic when I purchased the vehicle, it was actually unsafe to be sold as is... but I was told I was getting a great vehicle at a great price. They are trying to take advantage of people with little to no money and selling them a car that won't last a month, let alone a week, without doing some major maintenance. My maintenance bill ended up costing me almost as much as paid for the vehicle in the first place. By the way, I tried calling to inform the dealership of the issues and they cussed me out! Such unprofessional service. BUYER BEWARE! THERE ARE MUCH BETTER USED CAR DEALERSHIPS TO PURCHASE FROM!!
