On 7/13/2018 I ordered a part for a car. They sent the wrong part. They said they would refund the money but they have not.
On 7/13/2018 I ordered a HID/Xenon (High Intensity Discharge) headlight for a Mazda CX-9 from American and Import Auto Parts. I spoke with Dillon from sales. He said they had one in stock. I even wrote that on the order slip with those specific details. About a week later I received the package. They sent me one that was not an HID headlight which will not work with my vehicle. This was not an HID light as promised. I called Dillon as soon as I received the package and opened it and saw that this was the wrong part. He agreed to a full refund and to include all shipping charges. I sent the part back as requested. The part was shipped on 7/27/2018. Dillon said he received the light back. I have a tracking number too.
Several weeks have gone by and I have not receive a refund as promised. I called Dillon several times and he assured me that they were working on this. I feel that they are trying to avoid refunding my money. It did not take them that long to charge me for the part.
The part cost $250 and the shipping was $90 for a total of $340.
A full refund including shipping charges as promised.
Mr. was issued a refund of $280 on 08/23/18 which is the total amount paid. He references a refund of $340? I am unsure where this figure is coming from.
We apologize for the delay in refunding Mr. as it was not intentional. We had to wait for the part to be received back in the office and then a credit issued. This process did take a little longer than expected but has been completed.
I have attached a copy of the refund for your records.

Sales rep lied to me about product. Lied to me again about calling me back, avoided my calls and ignored my messages
The sales rep sold me a product not as described and when I tried to get this resolved ignored me completely

We immediately contacted Mr. upon receipt of your letter. It appears that there was a misunderstanding when he spoke with our salesman prior to his complaint. The salesman is new and was still in training. We have issued a full refund to Mr. and advised him to keep the parts that he received. He stated that he was satisfied with this resolution and would also advise your office of this. We strive to make every customer interaction a positive one and try to make it right when we fail to meet that goal. Please let me know if you need any additional information from us with regard to this matter.
