I was charged approximately $185 in ATM FEEs and insufficient funds fees when I had automatic transfer. They said I had a pending automatic payment with Blue Shield which I have had for several years that comes out after the1!5th of each month. I had it set up the way because of my pay periods. I currently had aprox $200 in my acct. The pending payment had not gone thru yet because it was not the 16th. They decided to take money out of my savings for a gas (aprox $30), a visit to ***, Aprox $40 dollars, and so it continued and I had reach my max of 6 automatic tranfer instead of them just transferring the $650 dollars in one lump sum when it got posted. The cycle continued. I called 3 times to no avail. They just went in circles reverting back to that pending 650$ and would not wave any of the fees. I was upset and could not understand because all my posts of charges were on my side. I had money to cover the charges that had been coming thru I asked to speak the the supervisor and the rep comes back 5 mins later saying she is not at her desk. I asked to speak with someone higher up...she puts me on hold and comes right back and say's they are not at their desk either and I woud have to leave them a voicemail. She said she could not help me any longer with my issue . She said "if you would just listen to me and let me finish"! She didn't understand that tis is my hard earned blood, sweat and tears that earned and she didn't care. I did not leave any voice mail and neither higher up called me back as a customer service courtesy.

Re: Revdex.com (‘Revdex.com’) correspondence to American First Credit Union as result of your consumer complaint/inquiry
Dear Ms.,
This letter will serve as our compliance requirement with the Revdex.com request in which the agency requested that American First Credit Union respond directly regarding your complaint/inquiry noted above.
Per the request, we have investigated your complaint dated October 5, 2017. Your complaint expresses concerns regarding American First Credit Union’s (“the Credit Union”) regarding the following issues:
Being charged approximately $185 in ATM FEEs and insufficient funds fees and the unwillingness for the Credit Union to assist you
I will attempt to address your concerns as it pertains to these issues. To begin:
You were unable to transfer funds as intended to avoid fees that were assessed since you had already met your Regulation D limit for the month. Regulation D is a federal regulation that limits convenience transfers out of savings ( regardless of the reason) to other accounts for a total of 6 per month. It automatically resets on the first of every month. (This is outlined within your Account Agreement-Conditions for Deposit Accounts document provided to you when your account was opened.)
Convenience transfers are phone transfers, online transfers, or overdrafts. Transfers done in person, in writing, or at an ATM do not count towards the Regulation D limits.
If you would like us to make a transfer above and beyond the allotted 6 per month, all that you would need to do is submit a fax or email request including your account number and signature. Please fax it to *** or email ***.
As a one time courtesy, the Credit Union will refund you $174.00 in fees back to your account associated with this complaint. Moving forward, the Credit Union will not waive any further fees associated with Regulation D unless it is determined it is a credit union error.
Based upon these events, American First Credit Union will consider this matter closed, If there is anything else I can assist you with, please don't hesitate to contact me personally. My toll-free number is *** or by email at ***
Sincerely,
Office of the President
