DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! This company took full advantage of us.
â?¨
We have never felt so taken advantage of and disappointed in a company's work ethics. Everything went wrong - from the first subcontractor being unable to provide renovation work that is up to industry standards, to being overcharged without notice, to 6 broken promised delivery dates, to the company not cleaning up the demo site.
â?¨
We hired American Dream Home Remodeling to do a bathroom renovation for my parent's ONLY bathroom. Initially, we purchased a deal via *** for gutters. When Ben Jr (salesman) came to do estimation on our house for the gutter, he found out that we were in the process of hiring a contractor for our bathroom renovation. Ben Jr. told us that - aside from doing exterior work on homes, American Dream Home Renovation also has the capability to do bathroom renovation - he claimed they have been doing all home renovation for over 12 years. We also mentioned to Ben Jr. that once the bathroom renovation is completed, we would like to add an addition to the house as well. From the very beginning, we informed Ben Jr. that we want to convert the bathtub into a walk-in shower and will need to take out all hold fixtures and replaced them with updated fixtures since we were doing a complete renovation. I even called and spoke with *** (no longer with the company) and she ensured that the company is on the same page. Ben Jr (salesman), Collin (project coordinator), and *** (Office manager) all ensured that our bathroom will only take 2-3 days at the *** to complete since it's a very tiny bathroom.

The company sent out a sub-contractor who later (after 6 days of work) proved was unable to renovate the bathroom up to the industry standard. After the 4th day of the demo, the subcontractor was able to finally open up the main floor and all of the shower walls. Ben Sr. at that point provided additional pricing because the wood beams needed to be replaced. I agreed to the additional price and signed off on it. The sub-contractor ruined all materials that we purchased and also used the wrong materials which the owner Ben Sr and the subcontractor went out and purchased together after opening up the subfloor and ripping down all of the current shower and floor tiles. During the demo, the sub-contractor did not cover any open pipes or plumbing that were taken apart during the demo - this completely ruined the original material which needed to be completely replaced. I bought this to Ben Sr. attention and he eventually came and checked on the project which caused a dispute with the subcontractor who walked out and apologized because she couldn't work with Ben because he was rude. Ben Sr. apologized for the drama and stated that his son Ben Jr. hired the sub-contractor to give her a chance. (Red flag because we were under the impression that the company is well equipped to perform our bathroom renovation.) - Ben Sr. informed that he would send out a new subcontractor the following day to work on our bathroom. It took American Dream Home 2 days before they found a new subcontractor who was willing to re-demo the bathroom and correct the issues that the first sub-contractor did.
â?¨
Halfway through, we hired a portable bathroom service because bathroom renovation was taking longer than expected. Not to mention, the subcontractors left a mess in our backyard and did not dispose of any demo material throughout the process. We ended up cleaning after the sub-contractors. Collin (Project Coordinator) informed us that their company would clean it up but did not do it, therefore, we ended up cleaning up the mess ourselves.

According to the contract: "all work would be installed according to industries standard. Any charges, additions or extras in either labor or material provided hereunder shall be at an agreed price and first approved in writing by both Owners and Contractor." - Originally the company agreed to provide the shower tiles and the main floor tiles - which we picked out because our salesman brought us samples to choose from, however, in the end - we ended up buying our own tiles to ensure that we got the design that we liked. Ben Sr. (owner) agreed that he would give us a credit back on the tile since we ended up buying the tiles instead of having them provide it. He advised that all we had to do was provided a receipt and make sure that whatever tile we purchased was under $4/per sq. ft. - Which we did, however, in the end, he refused to provide credit even when we provided a receipt and stayed under the budget they give us. During the process, I informed Ben Sr. that his 1st sub-contractor did not remove the current shower fixtures which completely ruined the current material. I informed him that we have the converted shower adjustment that we can use instead. Ben Sr. told us that it would cost a $1500 additional if they did the shower adjustment. I informed Ben Sr. that $1500 was too high for just adjusting the shower head up. He then yelled and said "I don't care! At this point, that's what it's going to cost you." I informed them that I'm declining this scope of work and also emailed the company via writing that they did not have our permission to complete this scope of work and that we would be doing the showerhead adjustment ourselves because $1500 is too high. (We have a recording/pictures of us doing this scope of work to adjust the showerhead.) - American Dream Home Remodeling sent me a revised contract with the $1500 added on for "plumbing" - which I declined and did not sign off on. I also sent them an email declining this scope of work and stated that we were doing this. I also got the 2nd subcontractor to sign a writing statement that stated that they did not do this scope of work.) - Later on, Collin informed that what Ben Sr. (owner) meant to say was that there was an additional $1500 for the shower wall demolition and repair. I informed Collin that we never had this conversation and per the contract, any additional material or labor will need to be signed off on for pricing via writing approval. I informed that the company failed to do this and is now asking for an 58% increase of what is the outstanding balance that is left. I informed Collin that it sounds like they miss quoted the job and are at this point, making any excuse to get more money from us. Also, I pointed out that the quote that they sent over said that the $1500 was for "plumbing" - not shower wall demolition and repair. At this point, American Dream Home Remodeling sent us 5 different quotes. I only authorized and approved the first 2!
â?¨
Eventually, after 2 ½ weeks of headache and being without a bathroom, the bathroom renovation is finally completed. Upon completion, I called to notify the company and asked them to revise the quote and take out the $1500 that I did not authorize and also to adjust the tile amount since we provided the tile. (They double charged us for tiles). The company refused and demanded the full amount and that if I didn't pay they were going to take us to court. We ended up paying because it was not worth our time to go after them in small claim court - we were also completely drained and just wanted to be over with it.
â?¨
At the end of the day, American Dream Home Remodeling knows what they did and put us through. Going into this bathroom renovation, our expectations for quality of work were already set high but unfortunately, the circumstance that has taken place has tinted the entire experience for us. We will not be doing our additional home renovation with American Dream Home Remodeling and stronger advise all of our friends and family to NOT use this company!

Hired the company to do my power wash and gutter clean. They did a fantastic job. The girls at the office were friendly and helpful when calling in. I called them back out for some estimates on new roofing and windows and both quotes were very reasonably priced. I will be going with them for a full roof replacement. Ben, one of the owners was very good at explaining the estimates I requested and helping me figure out what I wanted/ needed.

Plain and simple: The fairest, best price. They did the work exactly when the said they would do the work. Each contractor/worker cared about the quality of their work. They were clean and didn't make a mess. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and explained things. They offered an easy financing option which was smooth and simple to do.
For future work at my home, American Dream will be the first people I call!

Today, 6/4/19, I had my home power washed with American Dream. Contractors Tamir R. and John arrived on time, introduced themselves to my wife & I, explained what & how they would proceed to satisfy us both when the job was completed. I must say both men we're very polite & professional. They were surpurb, taking care as not to disturb shrubs planted around 3 sides of the home. When the job was completed, the vinyl looked like new & really clean. They did a fabulous job. Highly recommend them.

Poor customer service
Extremely poor customer service where we had to reschedule gutter cleaning numerous times and the final time they just didn't show up. No phone or anything.

Desired Outcome

Some type of service or compensation since we had to take time off work for appointment

Tony C performed my gutter cleaning service. It was the 4th of July and although he was running behind schedule he got the job done and was very professional. He made sure to capture before/after photos and did a great job. I've already recommended him to my neighbors.

Tony C did an excellent job cleaning our gutters. and he thoroughly cleaned up all the debris. I would recommend him.

Field technician, Tony C, was professional and executed his job to perfection. Showed before and after photos, cleaned up, and gave recommendations based on his observations. I would recommend american dream home remodeling based on the service given by Tony.

Tony C did a great job cleaning the gutters on a very hot day. He took before and after pictures. Very satisfied with his work.

Tony did a fantastic job and was very informative of what was wrong with our gutters. He took pictures and showed us what was wrong and the work he did. Would definitely recommend him for home repairs

Tony Chapman did an outstanding job on our home. He was very thorough and took the time to show us the work he performed on our gutters. He also was very helpful in cleaning up the debris that fell from our gutters.

Tony C cleaned our gutters out and did a great job.

The communication with the office lady was very unsatisfactory. I had made an appointment for Wednesday at 12 pm to have the house pressure washed. No one came. I called the office several times, spoke to Bailey who assured me they would come, they were running late. By 5 pm still no one showed up. I was assured they would send someone the next day at 12 pm. Again, no one came. Again, Bailey assured me they were on their way. I called again around 2 pm and spoke to Tiffany who was very professional, very gracious and apologetic. She told me the appointment was scheduled for 3 pm according to their records (which was mystifying to me). Just before 3 pm Robert came. He was very polite and did a wonderful job cleaning the house. I was completely satisfied with his work.

6/13/18- STEPHEN and JOSIAH came to clean the gutters/powerwash house respectively. Their quality of work and customer service was OUTSTANDING! Both showed up on time, were very communicative through the whole process and provided photos of their work on the hard to see places. I will definitely be coming back to this company and hope to get these two employees to service the house once more- you've got top notch people working for you!

Stephen and Josiah were on time and did great work! gutters are clean and powerwash looked phenomenal!

I used this company for gutter cleaning. Stephen showed up right on time and was very thorough. He took the time to take pictures of any areas of concern with regard to wood rot, and also advised of an ant issue he encountered. I don't get up on my roof, so I never would have known about the issues he found. Great job on gutters. I would highly recommend this company for gutter cleaning.

Stephen did an amazing job and went above and beyond!

The crew had some equipment problems on their first scheduled day. They communicated with us very well and were prompt in returning to finnish the job. House looks great now!

C*** and E Davis showed up promptly and did an amazing job. I have no complaints about anything. I would highly recommend them.
