The company handled it very quickly and professionally. It was a small error on the mailing end and only address miscommunication. Thank you so much.

We apologize for the long time frame.  The original Service Manager that was handling this project had left the company and a new manager took her place and is trying to play catch up on any issues that were presented to the original manager.  We quickly obtained an estimate from the...

roof repair for Mr. [redacted] anyway. We hired the independent roofing contractor and worked around Mr. [redacted] schedule to get the repair completed. Shortly after the roofing company fixed the repairs, Mr. [redacted] contacted us claiming that the roofing company damaged his property. He claimed that a light was broken, his flag damaged, and his patio furniture cushions damaged. We could have easily told Mr. [redacted] to contact the roofing company directly about the damages; however, since he is our customer, we decided to act as a liaison between Mr. [redacted] and the roofing company to make this process easier on him. Even though he did not provide before and after photos (he only gave us pictures of what he claims was the damage) we acted on good faith and contacted the roofing company regarding the damages. We were almost able to get Mr. [redacted] compensated for the damages, but that process was delayed since he claimed there were additional damages to his property. Not too long after the initial claim of property damage, Mr. [redacted] came to us with more complaints about the roofing company. This time Mr. [redacted] claimed that he found a nail in his pool. At this point, Mr. [redacted] told us that he doesn’t see any damage to the pool, but if there happens to be a leak in a few months that we would have to pay for a new pool liner. Mr. [redacted] never stated that he stepped on the nail, only that he found it in his pool. If this nail did indeed come from the roof repair, there is no way that it would have punctured the pool liner on its own since the surface tension of the water would have drastically reduced the speed of the nail. During the same time as the nail in the pool incident, Mr. [redacted] also notified us that his son’s air conditioning unit was not working. Mr. [redacted] once again claimed that the damage was caused by a rouge nail falling off of the roof. Mr. [redacted] specifically stated that the nail fell off the roof and punctured the AC unit, causing it to malfunction. Once again, we sent someone out to the house to investigate this claim. We determined that there was no way that a nail damaged Mr. [redacted] AC unit. First of all, the AC unit does not stick out past the overhang of the roof, therefore there is no conceivable way that the nail could have hit the unit in the first place. Secondly, the AC unit is encased in solid metal and there were no puncture marks that would indicate damage from a falling nail. Finally, the AC unit is obviously old and not well maintained. Just by looking at the photos (which are included in this response) you can see the current condition of the unit. Amergy is not responsible for repairing an AC unit that is malfunctioning due to normal wear and tear. We set up a time a few weeks ago for the water damage inside of Mr. [redacted] house (caused by the roof leak) to be repaired. We had one of our contractors assigned to repair the drywall damage. Our service manager and installation manager were on site at Mr. [redacted] house to act as a liaison between the contractor and the homeowner. When the managers arrived at the house, they were greeted by an irate Mr. [redacted]. He was screaming at the contractors saying that they could not step foot on his property unless they speak English. This particular contractor is a minority owned company; even though some of the workers do not speak English, we had two people on site who were acting as liaisons. The service manager tried to explain to Mr. [redacted] that she would be there during the whole process, and that this contractor does phenomenal work, but he did not want to hear any of it. He insisted that if someone could not speak English, that they are were not allowed on his property. He made very discriminatory comments and the way that he spoke made many people uncomfortable. He screamed at the managers who were on site, and even beat a column on his house with his fist in a very threatening manner. At Mr. [redacted] request, our contractors left his house and did not complete any of the work. We are now in the difficult position of finding a new sub-contractor who would be willing to complete the repairs, has all the necessary insurance, speaks English, and does quality work. Mr. [redacted] mentioned that he had a handyman who could do drywall repair at his house. When we contacted this person we found out that he was not insured, and therefore could not hire him to complete the repairs. We gave Mr. [redacted] the option to hire this handyman on his own and we would reimburse him but Mr. [redacted] declined. Our service manager has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] about all of this and he is definitely aware of the current issue we are facing. Finally, months after the initial claim of damages, Mr. [redacted] reached out to us again. He is now claiming that there is a “slow leak” in his pool because of the nail that allegedly fell off the roof in July. Mr. [redacted] has now changed his story and is claiming that he stepped on the aforementioned nail and that is what caused the leak in the pool. Months ago when he first told us about the nail, all he said was that he found a nail in his pool; not once did he ever mention physically stepping on the nail. We find it very suspicious that he is now claiming to have a leak and wants the whole pool replaced. In the beginning, when he was first claiming small property damage, we gave him the benefit of the doubt; however, now that he has proven to be very demanding, and has made false claims in the past (i.e. the AC unit), we cannot trust his word. We have tried our hardest to resolve Mr. [redacted] issues, but he has continuously made it a struggle, all the while slandering our name on social media. In conclusion, Mr. [redacted] claims about Amergy Solar being unresponsive to his calls are completely false. Not only does he have the main customer service number, but he has the direct office line, cell phone number and e-mail address for our service manager. Our service manager is very responsive and has been working diligently to resolve Mr. [redacted] issues, even though he has not made this process easy. Tell us why here...
