AMC Orange 30

Review: I saw a movie here on my birthday and left my wallet in the theater. I called and was told they have it so I headed there. When I got there I opened my wallet and all the money had been taken out (200$). I didnt leave until I got the facts straight because I was already pretty certain it was a staff member. The staff confirmed they found it and turned it in, not a guest. The theater was 90% unoccupied, (they're numbers) and we sat in the back row so I know no one leaving the movie would have passed the wallet on my seat after I left. The obvious conclusion is they stole out of my wallet and did nothing about it. Their response "were not responsible for lost items". Actually my wallet was no longer lost when they had it in their possession with my ID and I talked to them on the phone. Similar to the staff taking from anyone's purse or wallet that is not withing the owners vision. The money was stolen from a wallet that was not lost, was just taken advantage of by their staff in lost and found.Desired Settlement: Replace the amount stolen

This guest visited our Orange 30 theatre and after leaving contacted the theatre regarding a lost wallet.

The theatre staff let him know that the wallet had been found at the theatre, and that he could come

back to the theatre to retrieve it. When he returned to the theatre he claimed that money was missing

from the wallet and spoke to the manager. The guest felt that a member of the crew at the theatre had

removed the money from the wallet, while the management at the theatre did let him know that we are

not responsible for lost personal items at the theatre, they did offer to investigate. The security footage

was reviewed multiple times by multiple AMC representatives and no evidence of a theatre employee

removing money from the guest's wallet was found. The theatre followed AMC Lost and Found

procedures and placed the wallet in a secure area as soon as it was turned in to the guest services

associate. The guest was advised to contact the authorities if he believed that something was stolen, and

was informed that the theatre would be happy to comply with any investigations.
