Ambetter from Silver Summit Healthplan

Beware this insurance company. NVHealthlink confirmed they have had problems finding members in their system, resulting in their saying you do not have active coverage. Billing & customer service are 2 separate entities that do not communicate with one another. They send "blanket" voicemails & emails to all policy holders saying "there is a problem with your account" even when there is not. When you call in costumer service is extremely rude & the explanation is "there is no problem, the system just has not been updated". Meanwhile claims are still denied in the process. You will wait hours on the line for escalation to a supervisor only for more poor service & inadequate explanations.

I've been with Ambetter since January 1st. I was scheduled for a chemo treatment for Lymphoma on March 28th. It is now May 9th and they still haven't authorized treatment. Every time I call it's a different story... "we can't find your Doctor's contract" or "We're waiting for pre-authorization information." I was with *** last year and the difference is night and day. I regret even paying my premiums for the past 5 months.
