We ate at this restaurant on Nov 25th, 2018. When the bill came, my friend and I we split the bill. My share was $38.98. The service was horrible. I did not leave a tip. The restaurant decided to charge my credit card for $45.98 awarding themselves a $7 tip which they do not deserve. It is the customer's right to leave whatever tip they desire - the restaurant has NO RIGHT to add an additional amount beyond what was authorized. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD ANY AMOUNT THEY WANT. This is beyond appalling a violation my rights. I would like there to be action taken for this. I just spoke to my credit card company as well to dispute the additional amount. I have the original receipt. This not LEGAL. This restaurant should be shut down - if they can run any charge they wish without the customer authorization, they have surely done this with other customers. Fortunately, I checked my credit card statement. They are unethical and immoral. This is not a place that should be in business. They should provide a 100% refund for the total amount for this act. I am appalled that this restaurant believes they can charge whatever charge they want for this kind of service.
