I required a kitchen fawcette replaced and shut off valves installed, and asked for an estimate for this work to be doneI was told that only after the plumber looked at the job could that be done, each job was different and required a visual inspection, which cost $When the plumber got here he looked at the sink and where the shut-offs need to be done, then pulled out a STANDARD price list for replacing kitchen fawcette and another for the shut off valvesBoth of which would have totalled over $XXX-XXX including the inspectionI paid for the inspection because I got an estimate from another plumber for less than 1/the price My concern is that I was lied to by the person taking my service request when I was told that each job was different and had to be quoted differently- which was clearly not the caseI want to warn other potential customers to be cautious with this company, they seem to only want the $for the service call Maybe the feel that once you spend the "inspection" fee you will feel obligated to do the work....I do not mind the service fee, everybody should be paid for their work, what I mind is being told that "each job is different" then having the plumber pull out a standard rate sheet with prices for exactly what I asked for over the phone
