Review: I had laser hair removal on my face at their facility in July 2013 and received scaring from the procedure. The scaring is V shapes and lines on my face. I went back and was told that I did not have any scaring from their procedure that I had scaring from the electrolysis hair removal that I had years ago. I certainly know my face and that this scaring occurred from their laser hair removal. I noticed the scaring the same day. Hoping that this was only temporary I did not notify Allure until my next scheduled appt. I was not offered a full refund but was charged for the procedure and a $50.00 handling fee. I have visited a dermatologist and was advised that I should never had laser hair removal due to the fairness of my skin and hair. I was not advised this at Allura and now have horrible scaring. The only treatment to soften the scaring is another laser procedure. I want others to be advised of the way they treat their patients.Desired Settlement: I desire for Allure to acknowledge that they did the scaring to my face and payment in full for the amount I paid them. Also, to pay for laser treatment to soften the scaring, if I choose to have that done by my choice of dermatologist. I also want others to be advised of the way they treat their patients.

l am responding to complaint #[redacted]. Due to HIPPA and Privacy laws, we cannot discuss

information on any client.

We use a [redacted] Laser for laser hair reduction. Enclosed is the consent form that all of our clients

review and sign prior to the procedure. The [redacted] Skin Typing form is also enclosed. All of our

clients fill this out prior to a laser treatment so that we know the proper settings. The [redacted] laser has

a ROUND handpiece that is used during the procedure. In the 8 years that Allura has been in business,

we have never had anyone experience any scarring from any of our lasers.

Even though I did sign a release form and even though they reported they did not have another with scaring. It did happen to me and I feel they should accept responsibility and pay as I requested in my complaint.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
