Alley Tree and Landscape

I was very disappointed with the work not done, But contracted for with Alley tree service. I had contracted with them in late fall of 2019 to remove a dead tree and trim all trees for fire safety on my property. They have never completed the work, honored my requests, responded to my written letter with supportive documents and photos, nor returned any of my calls and emails, which I have sent over the last 6 months. Terrible customer service and work ethic!

Specifically: I was not home in December 2019 when they did what they did or I would've said something then. I requested that they leave the dead cedar wood logs for firewood, to which the tree service manager agreed to on the phone, but they did not. They also did an incomplete job trimming (trimming only one side of some trees, not trimming all trees within 10 feet, and not getting all lower branches). When I did see what had happened I was leaving for an extended visit with relatives out of state. I paid the $2,000.00 bill because I wanted to take care of all bills before I left, and my neighbor assured me they were good folks and would complete the job. I sent my check with a written letter with my complaints and photos of what was not completed, asking for them to return and complete the job. For the next 6 months, I sent emails and called several times in regards to this issue. I emailed detailed records of the contract, and emails verifying their promises to me along with photos of the work not completed. I left recorded phone messages and spoke with actual human employees who said they could not help me and I would need to speak directly to the owner who has never returned my calls. To this day I have never received a reply from anyone at the company. As a consequence I ended up hiring another firm to complete the work for $250.00. I have documentation of all these claims, except for Phone calls I did not record.
