If you are becoming a Union member in the state of NH and are offered this health insurance be WARNED! I signed up for this insurance under union contracted employment, I was misled to believe the premiums were $880/over 10 month year. Subject to change depending on income. Hired 7/1/2019, 9/20/2019 started the school year I employed for. First payment was deducted last week of September for the amount of $350, I thought it was due to being the first payment. I received my cards the first week of October, 2019. 2nd payment was also $350. I immediately called the company to cancel insurance around Oct, 15,2019. The woman was extremely rude and told me no premium is lower than what I was paying and No premium would be $880 for a year. She continued to tell me I had to go through an appeal process because I missed open enrollment from August- September, even though I just received my welcome packet and cards. The conversation was recorded and they have the recording. I received the appeal the first week in November, 2019 and sent back last week of November,2019. I just now received the acceptance letter Feb,2020 cancelling insurance as of December 31, 2019. I NEVER USED ANY HEALTH, PERSCRIPTION, OR DENTAL services but they had no problem collecting over $2500.00 from me. I will be taking this further and have already reached out to the NH Insurance commissions office.
