All Transmission World

I bought a 12 year old truck with a 5 speed manual transmission and 43,000 original miles from a dealer in Tampa. I discovered a problem with fifth gear during my initial test drive. The dealer included a 90 day / 4,500 mile certified warranty issued by [redacted] with the purchase of the truck. The warranty covers the transmission. I dropped my truck off at All Transmission World (ATW) on East Colonial in Orlando approximately two months after buying the truck, with the understanding that my truck was covered under warranty. Doug, one of the owners of ATW, test drove my truck and confirmed that the bearings on third and fifth gear needed to be replaced. Doug called [redacted] and discovered that there was no warranty on file for my truck. Doug went above and beyond to help me. He called the dealer and [redacted] repeatedly in order to assist me in securing the warranty that I was supposed to have. I discovered that the dealer never submitted the warranty application to [redacted]. It took two weeks of fighting with the dealer and calling [redacted] to check the status of my warranty. My truck sat at ATW the whole time. Doug never said anything about my truck consuming 170 square feet of their storage lot for two weeks. After securing the warranty, I authorized repair of the transmission. The damage required a full tear down of the transmission. I inspected the truck on the lift while I was there. The technician had to remove the catalytic converter pipes in order to remove the transmission. I discovered the exhaust system looked rusty. I provided a new exhaust system from the catalytic converters to the tailpipe. Doug had his technicians install it for me without charging me for the installation. I asked Doug if he would install a new clutch if I provide it. He agreed without hesitation. I ordered a new clutch kit from[redacted] and had it shipped directly to Doug. I requested a phone call when the technician had my transmission on the bench so I could see the damage with my own eyes. Doug called, and I stopped by. Anthony showed me the damage to the bearings, races, and synchro's. It took two weeks for ATW to complete all of the repairs. Doug called me numerous times during the repair process to keep me updated on the progress. Anthony did an absolutely amazing job rebuilding my transmission. He is thorough and cares about his work.

ATW does top notch work. Their repairs must meet high standards and must be completed to their satisfaction before they allow the vehicle to leave the shop. They are attentive to detail, and believe that it's better to do the job right the first time. From the very beginning, Doug and Don were honest with me and treated me with utmost respect. They are great guys. They don't tell you what you want to hear; they tell you the truth. They never lied to me about anything. Every time Doug said he would call me, he did. He kept all of his promises. I trust him and Don completely. I am eternally grateful for the way I was treated, and for how well they took care of my truck. If I ever have transmission problems with any of my other vehicles, I will gladly take it to ATW. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone that needs transmission work.
