We purchased the car from allstar GMC. We also purchased a 2 year extended warranty with it as soon as we drove it off the lot it started making a noise when we would apply the brake. So we brought it back they messed with it and told us it was fixed as soon as we left it started again we went back so they kept the car for 3 days until I called them. When I got there I asked what they had done to it- they ended up changing my struts and sway bar along with other parts. And charged me $1,000. When I drove it off the lot it started making the noise again but worse so I brought it back. they kept it again and finally told me to come get it there was nothing they could do because they dont have any ford equipment there. So they told me I needed to bring it to the ford place so I did, they told me some parts were only hand tight and that they could not fix my car unless I took all the aftermarket parts they had put on off.
$2,000 towards ford fixing it or another vehicle worth 10,500 plus $1,000 in danager for work and doctor appointments. he would like to settle things by having All Star pay for Ford to repair his shocks and sway bar. He wants that need to be replaced by Ford.He will call it even and will not be returning to All Star.
On 7/19/19 the customer brought vehicle into our business staqting they weere hearing a rocking or popping noise while driving. Upon the visit we replaced the front strut and sway bar end links with parts approved by the extended warranty. During the same visit we performed a 2-wheel alignment which was also approved by his extended warranty.
Extended warranty claim XXXXXX paid amount of $952.76 with the customer paying $50 deductible.
On 8/1/19 the customer came in saying they were hearing a popping noise when hitting the breaks or bumps. At the time we test drove the vehicle with chassis ear, we found the noise coming from the left cv axel. We replaced the left cv axel and provided the customer with a loaner. Extended warranty claim XXXXXX paid amount of $325.41 with the customer paying a $50 deductible.
On 8/20/19 Mr. came in and walked out to my technicians stall and threatened him. He also went into Mr. office threatening, at this time we asked him to leave or we were going to call the law. Mrs. came back in & pleaded that we just take a look at the vehicle in to check it out again and gave her a loaner. We were not able to duplicate the problem.
On 8/22/19 the customer came in stating they were hearing a popping noise while driving again. We drove the vehicle and could not duplicate the concern. At this time the customer stated they would like a second opinion. I *** Theriot Service Manager at Allstar Buick GMC" told them to take it to the Ford store and if they were to find anything to let me know. Customer took the vehicle to the Ford store, Ford store called me back and said the parts we used were not Ford approved, they were not going to work on the vehicle.
Louisiana Dealer Services is the extended warranty policy which approved the parts. In the LDS policy it states repairs and parts used shall be authorized by LDS. We are at the mercy of LA Dealer Services when it comes to the parts used. These parts are the correct parts for this vehicle. The parts were not OEM, they are after market parts which still has warranty on them.
We explained to the customer we could put the chassis ears on it and test. We found no popping noise at the time. Customer did call and make an appointment for the week after, but never came in. I have not heard from the customer since then.
Poor customer service practices
Car was dropped off for bumper repair and over heating issue. Took a week to start bumper repair. After that, they began looking for over heating issue and found nothing. They then sat on the car for a week before contacting State Farm. By then, we had already picked up the car on our own. We were never notified we could pick up the vehicle. All the while, we were paying rental fees. So car there almost a month to fix a few missing bolts and touch up paint on a bumper.
They can pay the rental fee for the week they didn't notify us the car was ready and instead did nothing. Their excuse was they were waiting to hear from State Farm, who wouldn't return their call. State Farm disagrees. Call the customer to let them know they can't find the repair issue and can pick up car if they want
Mrs *** brought her vehicle to Allstar Buick GMC as a corrective repair from another facility as per Statefarm insurances request. Allstar was not able to proceed with any repairs without reinspection and authorazation from the insurance provider. Upon reinspection from Statefarm it was determined that the damaged occured after vehicle was repaired and would not be covered. Vehicle was then sent to Allstar service dept. to be diagnosed for a overheating issue. no overheating issue was found. All service and bodyshop repairs were under the guidelines of Mrs Simons insurance provider and could not be performed without authorization from Statefarm. Mrs Simons unkle called and was very upset with the timeline that it took to diagnose her vehicle. He had no intensions of listiening to our explanation of diagnosis and repairs. He cursed everyone and threatened to have his attorney get in touch. Please keep in mind that her vehicle was brought to Allstar because of our reputation for customer service and quality work.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
my complaint was with Allstar's not notifying us the car could be picked up and their response did not address at all. the vehicle was not brought because of their reputation. in deed, how would they even know such a thing. I listened to their excuses intently and for a long period of time over the phone. the fact remains they could not explain why they did not contact us the car could be picked up for a week before we picked up the car on our own after finding out they weren't doing anything to the car. after I tried to complain to supervisors at Allstar, I was called back by the service manager and told If I contacted them again they would go after me for harassment. "our reputation for customer service and quality work", I think not. their response was a total deflection of the complaint and reinforces the reason for this complaint. the whole point of this complaint is to inform the public of Allstars poor customer service and practices. period! by the way, the overheating issue they could not diagnose has since resulted in a blown motor because of overheating!
