Review: On may the [redacted] or may the [redacted] I ordered a canon powershot sx50 hs digital camera for $339.00 from allstate camera off the computer. I received an e mail that night stating that I need to call them concerning the order. When I called the next morning I was put through to customer service and was told that I did not give them the three diget security code on the back of the mastercard. I gave them the code to complete the order. he then told me I would need a battery for the camera, I told him that I thought a battery came with it. he told me that batteries no longer came with cameras and the battery for the camera I just purchased cost close to $100.00 on the outside but they sold them for $40.00 and a better one for $50.00, not knowing any better I told him I would take the $50.00 battery which pushed the order up to $390.00 and that was the end of the conversation at that time my order was to be shipped. That night or the next morning my wife was checking on mastercard and a charge of $474.50 showed up. I called Allstate to check on the charges and the person answering the phone told me the order was packaged and ready to be shipped that day, when I told him was having trouble with the charges he immediately passed me on to customer service. Customer service agent told me he would explain the charges; since I had purchased a battery I would need a battery charger for it so they put one in which cost around $60.00 and also charged around $20.00 handling charges. both of these were unauthorized charges on my card which is the same as stealing. I the told them to just cancel the order but was told it was to late that it was already shipped. he then told me about a restocking fee that was in the fine print but I agreed to pay the restocking fee of 15% which he agreed upon but only on my original purchase of $390.00 but he said no way; you will pay on the $474.50. I kept trying to resolve the issue but he kept cutting me off saying he had to make money on the deal , we ended the conversation by him telling me he was going to ruin my credit if I did not accept the package on delivery and me telling him that I was going to refuse the package. his advertisement said I was to get free shipping in which he stated he gave me but the charge was for packing and handling. I later checked on the internet and found that you can buy batteries all day long for $12.00 and batteries and chargers for around $20.00; I also called [redacted] and was told that batteries and chargers was shipped in all camera packages . I disputed his charges with mastercard and we are still in a battle over this and the only reason I refused his package in the first place was his tacked on charges above and beyond what I authorized. He now is asking for a %20 restocking fee and $15.00 for refusing delivery. It appears that I am not the only one they pull this on if you will take the time to check REVIEWS OF ALLSTATE CAMERA you will find that they pull this all the time and there is no telling how many honest and hard working citizens they pull this on that do not follow up on a complaint. I am [redacted] and having a hard enough time making it as it is.Desired Settlement: I would like for the money to be refund to mastercard as it should be and let me move on; this would not have happened in the first place if he had not tacked on additional charges I would have accepted the package and it would have been over.I do not think I owe him anything as he did not follow through on the order as I ordered it.
