Value
So we needed movers. I was blown away by the presentation M'lisa provided in a walk-through quote. She was professional and answered all the questions I had. There were items that we discussed and the overall cost not reaching more than $1200 ..... Not a guarantee but pretty darn close.
(+1star)
The movers showed (815 am)up introduced themselves did a walk-through and I laid out in concrete time of we have to be out and gone by this time 12noon.
They had a hiccup and had to go back to the shop for supplies they didn't pack on the truck. When they got back the started working pretty hard. I offered Gatorade and waters as needed as these guys started off hot. Then there was the infamous (5 min) smoke break that started at 11 am & ended at 1120 am.
They ended up rushing to get the rest of the stuff loaded (some stuff protected some not) and we shut doors at 1205! They took a lunch and headed to New house. Travel time 30 mins. Lunch 30 mins. I was informed in the quote process they would take an hour lunch and travel time would be 30 mins..
They arrived at new place and I had family member in my place to direct where boxes and furniture went.
-As I had to go do paperwork on the new house ....I found it very odd that as soon as I mentioned it they needed payment right then. The authorized more on my card than previous discussion...and I thought that was weird. I called and spoke with Jamario (Mario) about this and he said they would knock off time for the break and would discount me for the lateness.
I informed him that something needed to be done as they filled up the truck and I myself had to pack my uhaul with stuff that had already accounted for going on THEIR moving truck.... When I arrived back after paperwork I signed the final bill as ZERO was discounted and ZERO was taken off for my inconvenience.
As the movers roasted the tires getting out... I wondered if any damages were done... Yep. You guessed it. There was.
Listed below are the damaged items.
Washer dryer knobs ripped off (can't replace just the knobs)
Broken large picture frame from the wedding day. (Wife is fuming mad!)
Bent curtain rods.
Torn grill cover.
Ripped bar chair (because wrapping them was not an option?)
Dinged/nicked woode bed frame pieces.
(because wrapping them was not an option?).
That's what I uncovered so far.
I have put an email in that so far is unanswered....
Overall I feel as if I gambled with this choice of having All my sons move my family and I lost.
I should have read other reviews and trusted that as being the experience I could face...and I got a VALUABLE learning experience. My wife is *** that I gambled on this company and LOST.
The only positive...we didn't move our stuff... But I probably should have... Because the Uhaul I packed with allotments that were included in the moving truck price... Made it to the house unblemished.
Quoted as not to exceed $1200... Spent $2k and had to pack my own uhaul full
Please take my advice and CHOOSE someone else!
Respectfully,
Bryan

DO NOT USE THEM! Call GOOD TO GO MOVERS!!! If I could give less than one star I would. They scheduled me a few weeks before our move, they seemed great. The day of the move, they were supposed to be there at 830 or 900, they called at 800 to say they had no drivers. Now, keep in mind they were going to send 3 men and a truck.. one of the other men couldn’t drive? They had no sympathy at all.. just sorry maybe you can find a same day mover!?!

DO NOT HIRE THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!

This company is dishonest and fraudulent. I was given a quote to move one bed, 3 chairs, 2 nightstands, and a side table from OKC to Tulsa. I was told it would be 144 dollars an hour this would NOT include drive time other than a small gas surcharge. It sounded like a great deal. The guys spent 30 minutes loading total and about an hour unloading.

My credit card was charged over $1,000. This was all old and run-down furniture. I could have just purchased all new furniture for this price. Or I could've just thrown this stuff in the back of a pickup for $25 worth of gas. They refused to back off the charges and said that I had agreed to them. I never received any kind of full estimate or quote. I never signed a credit card slip or charge form. They insist that they emailed me a quote before the move. That's a lie. I checked my inbox and junk folder and there was no email.

I would like to make a complaint against All My sons Moving & storage of Oklahoma off Tinker Diagonal. I spoke to a lady last week that quoted me $200 + gas to move only 8-9 filing cabinets from 1 business being donated to another business only 3 miles away. I was advised to pay the $100 deposit first no prob. Today they show up with a bill of $350 which is $100 over what the lady quoted me. When I advised the driver he said that happens all the time. When I called *** back at the office to discuss he advised "didnt you get a cost estimate emailed to you." I let him know I never did. *** checked and confirmed I did not receive an estimate via email. When I let him know what I was quoted and they were overcharging me $100 he didnt care to rectify the situation. I am wondering how many customers they "quote" over the phone a lower amount and then overcharge them when the bill comes. What if they are doing this to everyone! I will never use this company again and want everyone to be aware! Also, the driver carbon copied my credit card and that is not very settling.

The customer was informed over the phone and in the notes of the charges. We always charge the following on our costs. We have a 2 hour minimum, 1 hr of travel and a 14% fuel surcharge on every move that we do in our business. People have very selective hearing and only hear the parts that they like. We did not overcharge the customer and all of our prices are signed before we collect the cost of the move.

In response to the copy of the credit card, as I explained to the customer we use credit card readers. When these dont work we do it the old fashioned way and make a copy of the credit card WITH the customer signature so they cannot say that they were not present or that we fraudently used there card. We keep them in a file locked in my desk and close them out monthly.

I had a move with All my Sons in June 8th. During the move I had some furniture damaged. I filed a claim with them following their protocol. The form I filled out that was sent by them stated I would receive a resolution in 3-5 business days. It took nearly 2 weeks for them to mail their offer. The offer was significantly lower than the value of goods. After a phone call discussion they offered to review my claim further and I agreeded. It then took them another two weeks to receive my new settlement of $330. I receive this in the mail the first week of July, the date on the letter was July 2nd I believe. I signed their forms that day as I was ok with the settlement and placed in the mailbox that evening. It is now July 29th and I have not received the check for my $330 settlement. I called this evening and spoke with someone about how it is now almost 2 months since my move and nearly a month from when I returned their settlement form. He said he spoke with someone and that their computers were down and they would return my call within the hour. They did not rerun my call this evening. I also sent an email regarding the status of my check last week and received no response to the email.

The customer has to sign a form before the move starts that they agree to the .60 cents per pound insurance form. This is done before every move and is required by our company. The amount of the settlement is based on the .60 per pound per article is handled by our Customer Care office in Carrolton, TX. We do apologize for any damages caused by the movers, however it is based upon the coverage provided and signed for by customer. Many customers object to the results of the compensation, but it is binding and not at the control of the local office. All transactions from here on out wouold have to be made through our main office in Carrolton, TX.

Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: my issue was not addressed. I never stated that I had an issue with the settlement amount. I agreed to the $330 settlement that was made. You did not address my concern that it took over a month, a total of over 2 months to even receive the check for the damages. And it would have taken longer had I not called every day for the past week. My other concern was not addressed about the fact that I was not responded to, hung up on, and not called back liked asked.

Sincerely

This company does not exercise proper responsibility with handling clients’ possessions. I am down a dryer because the company attempted to move the appliance down a flight of stairs while unsecured and only handled by one person. The claim filing process is rigged in their favor, and only repays a claim amount equal to the weight of the object. Since the inherent value of the object is not considered, the company is able to forgo responsibility and leave me with a total bill that exceeds more than I found acceptable for the moving experience.

On 4/9/19 I called All My Sons Moving inquiring about availability on 4/12/19 & charges to move from one location to another (6-7 miles away). I gave the rep a description of what (efficiency apt) was to be moved and was told it shouldn't take her guys more than 2 hrs to load & unload my things. I was told that she was going to put me down for 2.5 hrs with an estimate of $250. I then gave her my cc # to pay the $100 dep.

4/12/19 the movers arrived about 8:40 am and I showed them the items that were to be moved. Items were loaded on the truck and they drove 6-7 miles on a 2-lane hwy to my new apt. I was informed I owed an additional $596.45 for moving charges, truck fees, fuel fees & supply fees (I was in shock that the balance due was over 3 times the amount I was quoted and charged for supplies that were not used). When the movers left I was immediately in tears and I called my daughter (***) and told her what I had been charged, a total of $696.45. She wanted to number for AMS. She called and spoke to *** about the amt I was charged and billed.

To whom it may concern,

*** was moved on 4/12/2019 by driver - *** and his helper ***-***. The move time took from 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM. Ms *** did make deposit payment of 100.00 on 4/9/2019 to *** that was responding to the quote that was furnished by *** in our Dallas call center.

The rates fro the move were as follows :

Labor charge -4.75 hrs x 99.00 per hr =470.25

Travel time - 99.00 x 1 hr = 99.00

Packing material - 2 mirror cartons ( $9 per mirror carton = 18.00) 1roll of shrink wrap ($25.00) 1 roll of tape (4.50) = 47.50

14% Fuel surcharge for move = 79.70

This totals - 696.70

All of the information for the move is sent out in quote emails and in confirmation emails. We charge a 2 hr minimum on all moves, 1 hour of travel and 14% fuel surcharge on the entire move. All of this was sent to the customer on the following days - Quote email was sent 4/9/2019 at 11:07 AM by *** and the confirmation email was sent by at 1:40 PM by ***. AS stated all information that was discussed over the phone is in these emails. On move day we again go over with the customer on our tablet the conditions of the move and they must initial the screen before we can move forward on any type of move. This was done by driver ***e on the day of the move.

We followed every rule and sent all information to customer before move day and on the morning of move day. I also to did a QA call the morning od the move and the customer gave the moving team a glowing review. Saying, "Everything was great and they were pleased". The complaints did not start until it was time to pay the bill.

Apologies,

Complaint: *** I am rejecting this response because:

I am not satisfied with the response from All My Sons Moving. First off, as I stated before...they did not use all of the packing materials they stated. One of the mirror cartons they say they used was in fact a broken down box that I had received merchandise from "CHEWY" in, the other was a broken down box from Lowes. *See attached pictures

I do not believe they used a roll of shrink wrap to wrap my headboard and chest. They only wrapped a three (3) drawer chest. Why would they only wrap that one chest and not the other two chests? They also did not use a roll of tape as they stated. There were only three (3) boxes they used their dark brown tape on. All other boxes had clear tape on them which is what I taped boxes with.

When *** called during the move, I did state that everything was great and that I was pleased. When he called Mr. was in the middle of removing the bed frame from the headboard and I said what I did because I felt that he was doing a great job and I was pleased with him taking the bed apart so that I didn't have to do that myself.

All My Sons Moving and storage moved us from one location to another. A representitive from the company came out and gave us an estimate for the job.
When they arrived they soon realized that they didn't have enough men to do the job and sent for more. It was a very hectic day as we were dealing with repair people to facilitate closing. They finally arrived at the new residence at 1:00 am and demanded payment at that time. At that hour of the morning we were in no shape to verify all the shipment. The next day we went over to the house we were selling and saw that the living room was half full of items from all over the house. We had to get that out of the house for the final" walk through" by the new owners was that afternoon at 4:00. I called the owner of All My Sons and told him the job was not complete and we had paid for a completed job. He then said we would have to pay for additional people and van if we wanted it done. They came and again only did half the job saying he confiscated the rest of our furniture and would only deliver it if we paid additional money.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • May 06, 2019

We did the move as requested and it was not completed per customer. They were only charged for the hours that it took to complete the move. The next day we were advised by the customer that they needed another truck and 2 men to come over and get a few items that were left in the residence.. I went over all the rates with Mrs. and she agreed to the rate before we sent the truck to residence. The estimate the ***'s received from our representitive was an ESTIMATE, it was not a binding cost. The load went very smoothly until it came time to collect the money for the second day move, as the customer then refused to pay what was owed to All My Sons Moving & Storage. The previous night the customer was charged twice on his credit card and it was fixed as soon as we found out. The customer told me that he refused to pay until the money was refunded to his personal credit card. I offered a solution of him writing a check to us and I would not cash it until the money was restored into his credit card account. This was refused so we had no choice but to keep some items until the bill was paid. Mr. assured me it was no big deal, and he would pay us as soon as the money was back on his card. The money was back on the card in a few days, I even called Mr *** to confirm, but he will not pay the money that is owed to our company. I have made several attempts to get this matter rectified and I never get a straight answer from the customer. All that I am told by Mr. is "We are exploring our options". This could have been handled week's ago.

Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: They did not complete the move smoothly at all. About a fourth of our funiture and items were left at the house and that was why it was necessary for them to come back and finish. There was no reason to confiscate our furniture. We have so many damaged and broken items. We are filing claims at this time to compensate for this distruction. When you trust a companuy to do as they advertise, it is horrible to be treated the way All My Sons has treated us. We have made contact with several other people who have horror stories about them. One family had to go to court to get lost items returned. I wish we had known. this before we trusted them with our move. This is not a company that you should endorse.

Sincerely

Terrible Movers! First piece of furniture they picked up was a $2800 antique hand carved table in perfect condition, they stood the whole thing on one leg and the leg broke, the wood splintered. They offered $40 ! Then they increased it to $240 ! The piece is not fixable & the value of the table is nothing now. They do not know How to move furniture nor did they care that they broke it.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • May 06, 2019

The customer signed the insurance form at .60 per pound. This was the value that the table was deemed by our Customer Service group. We can not tell a custumer what coverage to take on their move. The customer decided on their own on the coverage they needed.

A complete mess...One crew left leaving the other crew behind. Their truck was not even full. The other crew (which were good) stayed until 10 pm to try and finish but couldn’t. I had to go to each room and tell them they missed items. The managers (Jerry and Marco) said they were going to make it right and give me some refund but they never called and they don’t return my messages now. Finally, I have a lot of damage. From furniture to glassware to garage shelving. Of course I’ll never get my money and my things will not be fixed because the 60 cents per pound insurance.

Would be ZERO stars if that was an option. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AT ALL! I scheduled a move for February 26, 2018. They called the day before to confirm that they would be arriving at 9:00. Then they called at 9:45 and said they had to unload and would be here afterwards. Around noon they called and said they would be here by 1:00. I called back around 1:15 and Mario told me that Unique was on her way. I was finally able to talk to Unique around 1:40, and she stated that the GPS said she was 15 minutes out. I tried to call her back around 2:15, (35 minutes later) but it went straight to voicemail. Then my wife gets a call where they tell her that they are now refusing to move us. Is that even a thing? I guess if you expect them to show up in a very general time frame of when they tell you, it is just too much for this company to uphold. Now, I have wasted a day off work waiting on a company that can’t deliver on the service they offer. This is beyond unprofessional.

All my sons movers over charged us $193.50 and refuses refund stating there driver stole the funds. They told us to file a police report, knowing that we cannot do that because they hired the driver not us we hired them. We have been treated very rudely and feel like we have been given the runaround .
