I contracted All My Sons for a move from *** to *** on March 29, 2018. I was quoted $129.00 per hour plus a one time fee of $159.00 for travel. I was charged a deposit and booked the services. I was told that for a three bedroom house it would take 4-5 hours of services roughly. On the day I was to move I was contacted by All My Sons and told that their movers had the flu and they had to contract another moving company for my move. I was told they would honor my initial quote. The movers arrived and they took 8 hours for my move. It was obvious to me that the movers were not of the quality that I expected but they were polite and moved my items without incident. They charged me $1300.00. Despite the fact that I paid for three extra hours of moving, the quote would have placed me at $1032.00 for the hourly wage and the $159.00 extra woukd be at $1191.00. I was overcharged $109.00 for fees as well as an extra hundred for the deposit. I contacted the company and was told by Jacob I would receive a refund. Days went by and no refund was credited to my account. I contacted them again and was given a screenshot of the refund but no refund was credited to my bank account. I inquired again and was referred to Greg. The next day I recieived my deposit credited to my bank account. I inquired again the next day about when I would be receiving the rest of the refund and I have received no reply. I feel scammed I that I had to pay extra for three extra hours plus was overcharged by $109.00. I told them so and received no reply. I would like a refund for $109.00 plus the extra 3 hours of moving time.
We did not provide services to this customer, the move was cancelled and the deposit of $100.00 was refunded to card ending in *** on 3/29/2018
The company quoted me $300 for my move, then charged me around $800. When I called them and asked why and if I could have an itemized receipt, I was told I would be given a discount, which I turned down. The small discount of about $100 was given anyways, which I also called about. The manager at the location told me "your card has already been charged so there is nothing you can do about it. Have a nice day". Shortly thereafter new lines of credit were attempted in my name coming from this locations area. Also, I have since learned that this company is not allowed on the property of multiple storage complexes due to this company holding belonging hostage when customers don't want to pay the grossly inflated charges.
This customer was given an hourly rate and told what the three hour minimum would be, after the three hour minimum the customer is charged however many hours it takes to complete the move, this is what is charged. I then went over the entire quote including the materials, travel and fuel. The customer also received a very detailed email prior to the move fully explaining the charges and what they would be. The customer was not there during the move had the customer been present, he would see that they worked hard the entire time of the hours charged and that is what the move took. We have already issued a customer care refund. The customer has a copy of the legal contract, the BOL(Bill Of Laden) and the Final Receipt.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The first attachment regards e-signatures. I am not contesting e-signatures in any way. The authorization was signed, the acceptance of charges was not.
The second attachment is the charges that I was sent AFTER the move was completed, and I did not sign this as it is obvious price gouging.
I would invite All My Sons to provide documentation that supports anything they have claimed in previous responses to this thread.

We hired “All My Son’s” to move us five weeks in advance of our move, I called to confirm with them two days before the move and everything was “good to go”. I received a call at 1:45pm the next day, the day before our move from them canceling my move which was supposed to be at 8:30 then next morning. I was told that the man’s moving crew had walked off the job and quit. I was also talked to like I was supposed to feel sorry for HIM! This made the move to my dream home one of the worst experiences of my life. I had to be out of a house by 5:00 Saturday and my movers cancelled Friday. We could not find any oth r movers at the last minute and being a Saturday in March, could not even find a UHaul tuck to rent last minute. We were able to get a small truck that Friday. So we had to move an entire house with help of anyone we could drag in to it with a small uhaul and vehicles. This took a lot of trips and we moved a town over, this was back breaking work that took till 3:00 a.m. and our stuff put any and everywhere in our new home so we could get out of the old house in time and have the truck back in time. So then my husband and I are now killing ourselves trying to get everything where I belongs. I called today to check on my refund and “John” very nicely and cheerfully told me he was sorry for my inconvenience. When I told him it was way more than an inconvenience, he told me he didn’t know what happened, just that I had my move cancelled. I have to think they are using subcontractors, so don’t but in to the “welcome to our family” sales pitch! I would never recommend this company. I am still not over the nightmare this caused us.
We are very sorry we could not provide moving services to you, the $100 deposit has been refunded. Also, the logistics supervisors will be notified. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution nas to be satisfactory to me, even though it was much more than “not providing moving services to us”, it was the LAST MINUTE cancellation leaving us in such a horrible situation. I have never been more disappointed nor furious with a company. You should have a back up plan! I am only ”accepting” this response because there is nothing more I or you can do to make up for the nightmare your company caused us, our friends and family.

In September I contacted with All My Sons to move our possessions. During the move our dining room table was damaged. The damage was noted immediately when it was removed from the truck and brought into the dinning room. I was told I would need to file a claim AMS Customer Care team in ***, Texas. I was also told they would make sure that the table would be repaired. It took 2 phone calls to receive the claim form. Once I completed the form and submitted to the company I was told it would 30 days before I received and answer. When I did receive the offer from the company they offered me $50.00 for the repair. I contacted a local company about the repairs and they provided me with an estimate of $695.00. I contacted AMS in *** with the estimated and they adjusted their offer to $135.00. Their explanation is that I did not purchase insurance with them and this was the best they could do. The issue with the insurance is that it was never offered to me when I was contracting with them for the move.
We always strive to give our customers the best moving experience possible. This customer selected standard valuation at no charge for damaged, the standard valuation is $0.60 per pound per article. The weight of the items claimed came to 35 lbs which is $21.00. In order to show customer care we increased the offer to $135.00. You should be able to get the items repaird for close to that amount.

I filled a form for information for an apartment for my parents. Somehow, the information was turned over to All My Sons Moving. They have called me over 20 times. I have told them to stop calling me and they continue to call me. I have texted them and told them to stop calling me and they continue to call me. The main number they call from is . I've blocked their number and they still call! I've even told them I was going to file a police report and they still call!
Yes, if you fill out a moving quote request online, we will call you. You are now removed from the list.

Attached is the call log from my cellphone and the text messages I sent them. You can see the number of times they called me, even after being told to stop and told I was off of their call list. I would say this is excessive. Their answer is unacceptable and does not reflect the number of times they called.
Regards
You have been removed from the call list.

There were many issues with this move: A moving company that shows up with no tools (we had to go buy some so that they could do their job), moves very slowly (until a manager was called) doesn't know the proper way to move items down the stairs (dropped an antique dresser off the dolly and against the railing) - I could go on and on. The biggest problem is that they damaged an antique dresser. It now has a huge gash in it that cannot be fixed easily. When the gentlemen moving our furniture brought the dresser into the house, they set the damaged side against the wall so that we could/would not see it. I contacted a furniture repair company. The estimate is $265 to repair. AMS offered us $60 the first time we filed with them and $100 the second time. This dresser is part of a three-piece set which was appraised at $1500. When fixed, this piece will no longer match the other two pieces.
I have contacted numerous people at AMS with absolutely no follow-up from them. I have many more instances of the shoddy job they did that day and would like to go on record as recommending the public NOT use this company for moving, but am more concerned about getting this dresser repaired.
We are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your settlement offer, we base our settlements on our legal liability of $0.60 per pould per item, we did go above that amount, however your customer care specialist is going to email you a settlement for $265.00, thank you!
