Owner, of USA Roofing & Repair. Upon meeting with ***, I recommended that she replace the entire roof. I stated to Ms. “the back half of the flat roof needed to be replaced immediately.” As standard protocol -anytime I am repairing a roof leak- I always request to see the inside area where the leak is located, the ceiling in Ms.’s case. Ms. explained to me her dilemma and the dangers of allowing me to see the inside of the house where the leak was located, she has her vicious pit bull that bites and pet pig inside and had to keep them separated, therefore not allowing me to check the inside denying me and my crew access inside her home. Ms. communicated that outside although fenced in was not partitioned enough to accommodate proper separation of here pets. With that being the situation, I repaired the roof valley and edges for her home as the attached agreement. I provided her a 3 year warranty. I obtained $500 from Ms *** as half down to fix her roof, which is the normal protocol. I have NEVER had a problem with any of my customer’s paying ½ down and the rest upon completion of the job. I informed Ms *** that I would be leaving to grab more tools and supplies. I returned and fixed her valley and edges the same day. I worked diligently to beat the rain. Although a hard rain came later that day, she never communicate to me any leaks as we would have returned immediately to honor our warranty we gave her.I have made several attempts to reach Ms. by phone with no success after I received the letter from Revdex.com until April 24th 2019. I eventually talked with Ms *** and asked her when would be convenient to come by to fix the roof with the stipulation that I would have to have access inside to look at the ceiling. *** verbally told me the leak that she has is in a new area that we did not work on. We as a standard help customers in these situations when the leak is close to the same area or too close to call. I would be delighted to patch the area if it is in the same area. Without access to the inside we would be flying blind again regarding the specific leak area. Fixing this roof leak without seeing the inside ceiling would be an absolute shot in the dark to do the right fix. *** will have other issues with her roof because the entire roof needs to be replaced. The flat portion of the roof needs more immediate attention than the 3 tab portion. I am on standby to go identify her issue in writing. She has a free 3 year warranty for the area that I fixed although the area around it will not last 3 years. The roof work that I did 100 percent helped stop water from coming into her home. If I could get *** to send me pictures of the inside ceiling and surrounding area I may be able to identify the exact source of her new water leak but I still may need access inside if I cannot 100 Percent walk down the exact source relating to the pictures. Sometimes water runs from one area to another or same area depending on the angle of the leaking area. Let me reiterate that in my professional opinion at a minimum the entire flat roof half of the home in question needs to be replaced along with all the bad wood immediately if not sooner. At a maximum the entire Roof of the house needs to be replaced which would include the 3 tab shingles portion of the home. I would be more than willing to address her issue, but I have to be communicated with regarding any leaks. As I stated earlier in this letter, Ms. NEVER informed me that her roof was leaking again.
