Review: Company vehicle damaged property

Truck drove off driveway damaging driveway, maple tree, cherry tree, while trying to tow the truck out they cracked the stamped concrete sidewalk repair . Company refuses to pay for damages.Desired Settlement: $7,800.00 cost to repair and replace damages caused by company's negligence.

As a result of operating on an improperly maintained (plowed/sanded) driveway during a snow event, our truck, while working to maintain our known high standard of customer service, slid slightly off the side of the driveway and became stuck against a tree. A tow truck was called and the customer was made aware of the situation. At the time of the incident there was no apparent damage to the customer property. A month and a half later we received a demand letter for compensation. After investigating the damage it was apparent that age and condition of the area prior to the event were significantly contributing factors. Regardless, we offered to have the driveway repaired and work with the customer to find a reasonable resolution to the other issues. The customer refused, indicating he may not even want to repair the affected areas, and demanded a cash pay-out.
