Mr. contacted us the morning of 9/9/19 in regards to his tub / shower leaking after the rebuild of tub / shower provided in August. Upon arrival on 9/9/19 found both handles to said valve broken off, snapped off at plastic valve extension stems. This was not the condition of said control valve when rebuilt in August. We found the rebuild we had performed in August to not be leaking and working properly. The leak or dripping was found to be coming from non operational diverted tub spout frozen in the shower position, not allowing release of water from shower head riser when valve is turned off and slowly dripping collected water when turned off. We had recommended to Mr *** to have the diverter tub spout replaced as well on our initial visit in August and Mr. declined this option.I contacted Mr. the evening of 9/9/19 to discuss our findings and our recommendations. After much discussion and Mr. still declining the much required diverter tub spout replacement to eliminate the slow dripping of the valve up to an hour after turning off the control valve, we came to this resolution.All American to replace the plastic stem extensions and if required the handles to his tub valve that got snapped off by Mr. in his efforts to stop the slow dripping from the frozen diverter tub spout, stuck in the shower position. We have ordered the replacement parts for the very old control valve, they are to be delivered on 9/13/19. In the mean time, we have had our senior technician out to Mr.’s home to insure that the said valve and the prior rebuild is working properly. We will be installing these new stem extensions and if required handles at no additional investment from Mr.. We still strongly recommend the replacement of deteriorated and frozen diverter tub spout that Mr. is still declining at this time. Many Thanks, *** - Company President
