Alicia Cohen Photography Reviews (6)

Review: Our problem is as followed: My husband and I hired Alicia Cohen Photography to photograph our wedding on September 6, 2013. We hired and signed a contract with Alicia Cohen Photography in May 2013. The contract included the following services:

Studio services to include:

8 hours of photography coverage by Alicia Cohen and associate photographer

5 fine art files

Disc of high resolution, unwatermarked images from the wedding day

All pre and post consultation time

30 days of online proofing and ordering

Travel to Stone Harbor, New Jersey

Total: $1650.00

Discount: N/A

Retainer: $165.00

Balance one month prior to wedding date: $1485.00 (we changed this to day of wedding since we were not able to get ahold of her before wedding)

Note: Additional hours coverage $100.00 in advance, $150.00 day of wedding

After mailing her the contract and $165.00 retainer fee, I was unable to get ahold of Alicia Cohen until less than a week before our wedding. When I finally got her on the phone and proceeded to ask her if everything was ok, she simply acted like nothing had ever happened and assured me that I no longer had to look for another photographer because she would definitely show up to photograph our wedding.

On the day of our wedding, her services were sup-par at best. She showed up late, was very disheveled and barely said hello to myself or my family when she walked into the room. She was rude and unpleasant to be around the entire day and I received multiple complaints from extended family that she was unprofessional and whenever something important was happening, she seemed to be MIA. At the end of the night, Alicia Cohen approached me (the bride) and said she was so tired, done shooting and where was her check (this was at 10:30PM and she was to shoot till 11:00PM). When I gave her the check, she mentioned that she would get pictures up on the web gallery in about 4 weeks.

Following the event, my husband and I have not been able to get in contact with Alicia Cohen Photography. We have tried multiple methods of contact including countless phone calls, emails, text messages and even Facebook messages. All of which have been ignored by Alicia Cohen Photography. In all of our attempts to contact Alicia Cohen Photography, my husband and I have been polite and forthcoming with the intent of just getting an update on the status of our images. We told her numerous times that we did not care if she was busy and running behind, we just wanted an estimated delivery date.

We believe Alicia Cohen Photography lives and operates out of [redacted] Her business voicemail has been taken off of her phone and it is now a generic operators voice. Her business Facebook page was recently taken down; however, her business website is still up (www.aliciacohen.com).Desired Settlement: Desired Outcome: Our desired outcome is as followed: My husband and I believe Alicia Cohen Photography should be held accountable for her lack of professionalism throughout our experience with her business. She advertised and promised a different level of service than what she provided and she continued to mislead us until she received her final check. We do not wish to deal with Alicia Cohen Photography beyond this point, she has already wasted our time and money and has managed to be the one and only negative factor from my wedding day. Again, my husband and I would like all images in digital, high-resolution format (we do not want her to edit or retouch the images, we will hire someone else to do that) and a refund of $1,485.00 (this do not include the $165.00 retainer fee we gave her in May 3013).

Review: Alicia Cohen was hired to be my wedding photographer on September 8, 2012. Over one year later she still has not fulfilled half of the contract; the package I selected and paid for in full has not been delivered. She has not delivered my wedding album. I paid in full for a “Level One Package” ($2,500) and so far I have only received the “Basic Package” ($1,500), with that being said I should be refunded $1,000.00 plus $160.00 for the additional pages I paid for the wedding album. I have tried to contact her on numerous occasions (over seven times to be exact) via email, phone, and FaceBook but she hasn’t returned my calls or emails.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded $1,000.00 plus $160.00 for the additional pages I paid for the wedding album. A total of $1,160.00.

Review: My wedding was July 21, 2012 and Alicia was our photographer. She was always late in responding to us from the beginning. While she delivered to us our CD of images after the wedding, she did not deliver the 8x10 photo and full photo album which were INCLUDED in the contract we signed in 2011. It's been nearly a year since we have been in touch despite my thorough research and efforts. I want my album or my money back.Desired Settlement: If this isn't possible then I want my money back. This is ridiculous and I know it has happened to lots of other people.

Review: Alicia photographed our wedding on June 7, 2013. Since then we have tried contacting her on several occasions to get the electronic, non-watermarked, copies of our wedding photographs. We paid her $1,500 in full three days before our wedding. She is in breach of our contract: which states she would provide five hours of photography service & supply a CD with our wedding photos, and ten prints. We spoke to her before the Fourth of July and she estimated that she would get the photos out to us within the week. Again, we spoke with her at the beginning of August via text, and were told she has sent the CD of photos a month ago. We never received the CD and contacted her (text) to confirm our address which she responded she would send them out ASAP. Since then she has not responded to our emails, voicemails, or text messages and we have not received the digital files of our photos. We have also recently learned that she no longer rents the office space in New Castle where we meet prior to our wedding.Desired Settlement: We would like the digital files of our wedding photos.

Review: We hired Alicia Cohen of Alicia Cohen Photography to photograph our wedding on September 15, 2012. As part of the contract, our package included a disk with all our photos, a full-size wedding album for us, 3 smaller albums for our parents, and an 8x10 print. We received the disk with our photos after the wedding and met in February 2013 to choose photos and plan our album. After a couple meetings, we had decided on a layout and photos for the album, and Alicia said she would design the album and email us a proof to approve in six weeks. On May 23, I had not heard anything from Alicia so I emailed her to ask what the status was and if she had an updated time estimate for us. She emailed back after a few days saying she was undergoing some personal issues but the proof of our album was almost finished and she'd have it to us by the first week in June. That week came and went and I heard nothing from her but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. By the first week of July, I was getting concerned so I reached out to her through email again (which had been the best way to get in touch with her previously) with no response. I gave her another month, and reached out again to her by email and phone calls multiple times during the first week of August; again with no response. Also, her voicemail is full so I am unable to leave a message there. We invested a lot of money in her services and haven't received most of the products that were paid for as part of the contract. This is unacceptable; we need this addressed as soon as possible so we can either get our albums and print as promised or receive a refund for the cost of those items so we can purchase them elsewhere.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund for the costs of the 4 albums and one 8x10 print; in my estimate, a cost of $1500, considering the entire cost of our package was $5500.

Review: Alicia Cohen photographed my wedding on September 7th 2013. The contract I had signed stated I would be able to view my proofs 12 weeks after the wedding. That would be today, November 29th. In addition to not having my photos posted, I have emailed, called, and text her for approximately 10 weeks and never received a single response. She was paid in full on the day of the wedding.Desired Settlement: I desire to receive my wedding photographs, as intended.
