Review: Alexander plumbing replaced my furnace and never installed an air filter. I asked them many times to do so, and they never did it. I have terrible allergies and need an air filter and air filter rack, both of which were never installed.Desired Settlement: Give me the proper fitting filters. Install a working filter rack.

Review: Alexander's was contracted to repair our pool heater. Upon initial diagnosis, we were advised to replace all parts for the heater at one time, versus one by one (suppoes to be more cost effective). It took quite a while for the parts to arrive and for Alexander's to return to install the parts and repair the heater. We had to follow up with them several times to get them to come out to complete the work. Once all parts were installed, the heater still did not work. Alexander's advised the motherboard was possibly bad (a part just replaced by Alexander's). A new one was to be ordered along with a couple other parts (valves, etc..). We waited another month for these parts. Again, with us having to follow up with them they agreed to come out to replace the newest parts (motherboard+) on Sept 15th (btwn 12-4). They never showed, they never called. They didn't show up the next day either. We left a message with them on Sept 17th; no return call. We called them Sept 18th and they agreed to come out on Sept 22 and were advised the pool would be closed on Sept 24th. They didn't show up and they didn't call. We called them and they were to come out on Sept 23rd. They didn't show. We called on Sept 24th and [redacted] offered to reschedule. I advised the pool was being closed that morning so they could no longer workl on the pool and I asked that the owner call me back. I left a work and cell number. I never heard form him. I called on Sept 25th and was told he received the messgae. I asked again that the owner call me. I was advised he was not in the office. I asked to get him the message and that I expected a return call today.

We paid Alexander's $300 and still our pool heater is not working and we have recieved non-working parts. Feels like this is a scam.Desired Settlement: I would like our $300 refunded; if not, then to have another company (our choice) to come to out to repair the pool heater and have Alexander's pay that bill.

Review: Very simple story. [redacted] quoted me a price of $10,200 total for replacing the furnace, AC condenser, coil, and hot water heater. This was a verbal quote and I asked for the quote in writing 4 times before installation. I then saw the 10% discount for senior citizens coupon on [redacted] website. I asked him to apply it. He would not. But he did offer me $750 off--$500 of which he said came from the manufacturer, and $250 from his company. So now the total price was $9500.

A written quote was finally given to me after the product was installed and it was for over $11,349. This is because [redacted] says that the $9500 "did not include the hot water heater." But it did--I remember this clearly and have it written down. So I argued with him and, in writing, we agreed that I would pay $10,200 (the original quote with no discount) until "the discrepancies were figured out." Well, turns out that he went ahead and charged the $11,349 price anyway. Upon finding this out about this overcharge, he would not answer my emails about why he charged that figure and not the promised $10,200.

[redacted], and his assistant, [redacted], overcharged my credit card after we had agreed to a certain price in writing. Deliberately overcharging a card after agreeing in writing over a price is a criminal violation. If the matter cannot be resolved in this forum I will contact the Consumer Protection department of the NJ AG's office.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to refund the $1,849 that that he overcharged my credit card by 8/20/13
