Alexander Cottages Rental

My wife and I rented a cabin from *** Cottages in Carry place Ontario with friends *** and ***. We sent Mr *** over 1400.00 US dollars. We had the rental setup for July 15 to 23. I broke my foot on June 8 in an industrial accident. I found out that I was going to have surgery June 27. We called him to see if we could cancel our reservation on June 25, he said we could. We have tried to contact him many times to resolve this issue. Most of the time he didn't respond back. As of October 16, 2017 we have not heard from him or got our money back. Our last correspondence was in September 15, it was a text "the check is in the mail". Of course it was not!
