Review: My husband and I stayed at the motel (Hampton Inn & Suites) in separate rooms on August 12th 2014. They told us we would receive a 100% refund if not completely satisfied and we have seen them advertise this on tv since then. The problem is that we were not satisfied because the rooms had a strong smell of deodorizer- Febreze or the like. We had asked them to refrain from spraying our rooms when making the reservation. It gave us both headaches, caused coughing, burning and puffy eyes, and all of our clothing smelled like they were saturated with the stuff by the time we left. We had planned on staying two nights. We checked in at 5 am as we are day sleepers. We checked out about 6 pm the same day. When we checked out, we told them we were not happy with this and they assured us that we would be not be charged. The bottom line is that they did not keep their word nor honor their promise of total satisfaction. Instead, they charged our credit card $345.75 and never even gave us an invoice. I called and talked with 5 different staff people over the following weeks and was always assured/promised they would credit the amount back to the same credit card. It's been over two months and there has been no credit or refund. We just want a refund and are not desiring to cause trouble.Desired Settlement: We are asking for a full refund of the $345.75 we were charged for the one day there. A credit back to the same card is satisfactory.

our records indicate on Sunday, August 10, 2014 2 reservations came through for Leanna Carlberg, confirmation #88179158. reservation notes inclUded as follows:

" NO TOXIC CLEANERS ON ROOM OR FEBREZE SPRAY ON EITHER OF THE ROOMS DUE TO HEALTH REASONS NEED ALGERY FREE ROOM... PLEASE MAKE SURE OF THIS... ALSO NEEDS LATE CHECK OUT AT LEAST 2 PM BUT IS ASKING FOR A LATER CHECK OUT ALSO DUE TO HEALTH REASONS...ALSO NEEDS QUIET ROOMS AND ROOMS AJOIN"

Our staff took all appropriate steps to insure the 2 rooms were both stripped of down feather bedding and air out with our ozone machine, no febreze or harsh chemicals were presents at manager on duties inspection of room previous to arrival. At approx 2:11 am guests arrive to check in. Guest needed many amenities throughout Monday, August 11, 2014 in which our staff was more than happy to accommodate. Approx 2pm on this Monday guest asked to extended both rooms for 1 extra night. No complaints were received at this time.

On Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at approx 8pm guests called front desk and requested to leave without being charged. Unfortunately due to a sold out night our front desk was not able to accommodate their request also due to the 8pm departure. Guest interim complained about the room and her allergies and with our deepest empathy we honored guest Hamptons 100% Money Back Guarantee for 1 room and 1 nights stay.

We do apologize for the unfortunate circumstance this guest experienced at our hotel but at this time no other compensation will be given.

I am rejecting this response because: They are still lying just as they did every time I called them and was told it would be resolved. Their advertising is false, period.
