I went to Courtney W for a full set of volume lashes on Wednesday 5th, 2020. After getting them done I looked in the mirror in her lash room and they looked good, but when I got into my car and brushed them up there were a bunch of my natural lashes with no extensions. I also had extensions I later had to pull out because every time I blinked they stabbed my eyelid. It looked as if she got lazy and didn’t want to finish. After getting my lashes done for 3 years I have never walked out of a salon with 75% of my lashes without extensions especially for $185 plus tip so $200 total. I messaged her that night asking for a refund because I didn’t feel I got the full service I asked for. I told her I’d let her keep at least $60 because I felt like I already needed a fill. She told me that she has a no refund policy and told me it was on her site. Which it was not until after I said it wasn’t(I have screenshots). I did call the owner on Friday the 7th and she told me there was nothing she could do about it since she rents out rooms and they are basically their own bosses.

Hi I’m writing on behalf of my business Alchemy Beauty lounge the complaint was against an independent contractor within my business (Courtney Witt) not my actual buisness. However Courtney has tried contacting you to clear this up and keeps getting hung up on. The plaintiff Sam Kuper has done this to many other lash artists in the Billings area saying she is happy when she leaves then calls a day later saying she doesn’t like her lashes when really I think she just doesn’t like the price and demands a refund ,when the lash artist offers to fix them she refuses to let them, I believe she is just out there to get a free service. I am rejecting this response because she has not tried to contact me? Please don't make false claims. My number is (***, if she really couldn't get ahold of me like you are claiming why not text me or message me on Instagram? Also, yes I have been to many places, but have never asked for a refund because I felt they did a good job, but it was not what I was wanting. Courtney's work was sloppy and not done fully which has left me with broken lashes and bald spots. I have also only left one bad review and that was when a girl sent be to the ER. I have asked many other professional for the thoughts and they said it looked ”half assed”. I would also like to add I didn't ask for a full refund. I asked if I could get a partial refund and she declined saying she had a no refund policy and how it said on her Instagram (which it did not) the picture above shows her Instagram before she added it.

Hi there. I’m responding to the complaint made by *** about my lash business. *** came to me for a full set of volume lashes. Before every client leaves, I ask them to take a peak in the mirror, and let me know if they are happy, or if they see anything they would like me to fix. *** did so, and told me they looked perfect. I charged her $185 for a full set (that’s my normal price for full sets), she paid that and tipped $15. At midnight that night, I received a message from ***mi saying she would like a refund. No explanation, just that she wanted her money back. So I began to ask questions as to why she would like a refund, she told me I “Half assed” my work and that she didn’t like her lashes. I began to explain to her I don’t offer refunds due to my product being used and my time. Instead I offered her to come back in so I could fix anything she didn’t like about her lashes (free of charge) and if she rescheduled a fill with me it would be half off the first time. *** turned down my offer, saying she had already gone somewhere else. I again, told her I don’t do refunds and that all sales were final. Doing my research, and having a few friends here in Billings who do lashes and have done ***’s lashes in the past, have all had the ***e problems with her. Whether it being the glue is too thick at the base, lashes weren’t full enough, or that she thought she got an eye infection. Every time she has had something to complain about, asks for her money back, and writes a bad review about the lash tech. I was very shocked to receive this complaint from her, especially when I thought her lashes looked great, and I use the picture of them for advertising. I did everything I could to try and make her happy with her lashes, but she turned my offer down and didn’t give me a chance to fix them to her liking.

I am rejecting this response. I’m just going to go through and point out all the obvious lies that keep being made and I keep shutting down. So, one yes I have gone to many lashes, but have never left a bad review like I have said. I can give you all the places I have been to and you will not see a bad review from me and for many people I actually leave a good review even if they weren’t as “full” as I was wanting. Again I know many people that have gone to many lash artists because they were satisfied. As I said before the lighting in the room made them look good as I said they did look good, but were not done fully. For paying $185 I’m sure everyone would want all or almost all of their lashes to have extensions on them. In this case I barely had any extensions on. I could brush my lashes up and it was very noticeable I had little amount of extensions. I’ve done my research and watched plenty of videos to know this is not okay. I have only got an eye infection once from a business and that was 3 years ago. Since then I have never told a lash artist they gave me an eye infection. In your messages you not once said anything about me coming back in to fix them for free otherwise I would have gladly came in and had you do so. You said that I can book a fill with you for discounted price. I would also like to add as I have said multiple times I have never asked for a refund until now. Lash artist have offer me refunds and have declined because they did their full work, but it wasn't what I was looking for. I can even show messages between a lash artist and I of me declining a refund if necessary. In order to prove that I don't just ask for refunds. I would truly like to see the reviews I have apparently left as well.
