Review: I had ALCAL perform a garage repair in January which was scheduled and done as promised. In about 5 weeks the light for the garage door was turning off whenever the door was operated. I called several times and never had a call returned. I called a corporate number and finally got a return call and immediate service appointment. The repairman said the unit needed a replacement part to stop the light from malfunctioning. He was going to talk to the supervisor and set up a solution. That we over two weeks ago, and I have called 3 times and never had a return call.Very poor customer service and had I known, I never would have call them initially except that they installed the door for the developer.Desired Settlement: fix the door or refund the first payment of $149.

Spoke to Mr. [redacted] on Wed. 5/6/15 with the update on the special order parts to fix his opener.Should have his problem resolved within the next 5-7 days. And explained to him that the original service call for $149.00 had nothing to do with the problem he is having currently.

I am rejecting this response because:It's not fixed yet. The initial call was to adjust the door and fix the light malfunction. It appeared to be fixed, but the light malfunctioin returned within three weeks. It seems to me that this is a continuing problem and not a new issue. I am concerned that the part may not solve the problem and I don't believe I should be charged for another service call.

Mr. [redacted], As of today (5/12/15) we believe our dealings with Mr. [redacted] have been satisfied by BOTH parties. On Monday 5/11/15 the replacment parts Mr. [redacted] spoke of was installed and the garage door opener service was completed. I would also like to note that aside from Alcal's opinion that the malfunction of the opener weeks after the original service was done were two separate issues, Alcal DID make the additional repairs at no additional cost.
