Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
First of all this case is from If you Alaska Cascade have owned it since why am I just know hearing from you?
You have an obligation to attempt to collect on debtsI have request twice from you and or Alaska Cascade to provide if any attempts to collect this debtBut, you are unable to provide any proofI have NEVER received anything from you regarding this debt and I have had the same mailing address for over yearsNor, has this debt EVER been reported to any of the three collection agencies I would have like to have been contacted at anytime during the last years so I could have paid this debt
You also state that you find it hard to believe I am unaware of this debt since it was part of a Custody caseAgain, this case is almost years old and I did receive a statement via e-mail from the Pierce County Court stating that this case and the judgment were satisfied in 8/ So, I am sure you can see my confusion with getting such a statement from the court and for having never been contacted that the debt was valid and Alaska Cascade was looking to resolve the debt
With all of this confusion and Alaska Cascades inability to provide any proof that you have ever ethically attempted to collect this debt at any time in the last years I feel it would be fair if I be allowed to pay the debt and have the interest removed
Please understand that if we are unable to come to an agreement I will be forced to seek further action on this as I do not feel that you have held up to your obligation as a Creditable collection CompanyYou can not just sit on a debt and collect interest for almost years and not allow the debtor to make right by what they owe.

Unfortunately it looks like there is a huge misunderstanding nor are you able to provide proof that any contact was made to collect this debtYou and or Alaska Cascade did not make any contact with me regarding the purchase of the debt nor have you or they ever attempted to collect this debtWe can go rounds and rounds about itIf you chose not to come to an agreed pay off then again as I have stated before once the garnishment is completed I will be seeking a Judgment against Alaska Cascade for neglecting to contact me at anytime during the last yearsBut, yet some how was able to send a certified letter to me in 1/to the same address I have had for over years
But, we will leave that to the Judge/Courts *** ***

The debt in question is a judgment awarded via Pierce County Superior Court.  The plaintiff was a guardian ad litem to which the judgment was awarded.
That guardian ad litem assigned the judgment to Alaska Cascade.  A letter notifying the debtor of the assignment was sent to the last...

known address of the defendant. 
It is doubtful that the defendant was unaware of this debt since I assume it was part of her domestic litigation involving children.
According to Washington State law, judgments include statutory interest at the rate of 12%.

I need a receipt from the clerk or copy of a check that the debt on the guardian ad litem portion of the debt was paid.  I am not interested or my business if you paid off past child support, alimony, property settlement issues or child expenses.  I only want to see that the guardian ad litem bill with interest was paid.  I mentioned in previous corespondence that the first collection letter was sent to your last known address that you submitted to the Court and guardian ad litem.  We also sent at least two other letter to addresses that should up via our skip tracing efforts.  It is not our job to make sure you are contacted to effect the collection.  We try and want the debts paid as soon as possible.  It is the debtors responsibilty to pay their debts and in the case a Court Order that ordered you to pay the debt and put restraints on you via continuing the Court action until this debt was paid.
