Complaint[redacted] SOLD ME A LEMON THE ENGINE WAS NOT PUT TOGETHER RIGHT AND WANT A REFUND. When I bought the Camry [redacted] told me that he put a brand new engine in it. When I test drove it it was making a roaring sound. I asked [redacted] what it was he said it was a broken motor mount. He said that he would fix it. I took the car to [redacted] to fix. He did not resolve the issue. Since then I have taken my car to three different mechanics thinking that it had a motor mount issue since a 2006 Toyota Scion was put into the 2002 Toyota Camry body. I couldn't find a mechanic to find or fix the problem until yesterday. I took the car to master mechanic on Glendale in Sparks, Nevada. They did a diagnostic on it and told me that the engine had not been put together right. That it would cost me another $2500. to fix the engine so that it would run right or I could buy another engine and the labor alone would be $2600. I have already spent $2200. trying to fix the issues before finding out this new information yesterday. I want Maurice to pay me back the purchase price and all the money I spent trying to fix this car. Not to mention the fact that I am disabled and on a fixed income. I had to use all the money I've been saving to live on. I only get $787. per month that is why I paid cash for a car. If this does not resolve the issue.Business Response Please see document online.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Before I agreed to buy the car I asked the seller what the noie was and he told me a broken motor mount which he clearly states that he would fix. so I am believing that when he fixes the motor mount the noise would go away. yes I took it to his shop he put an upper motor mount on it but he did not attach it to the motor correctly. if I knew that the noise that the car was making when I bought the car was never a motor mount in the first place I woudnt have purchased the car. He lied to me so that I would buy the car. I have plenty of witnesses. I was with a friend of mine when all three of us test drove the car. He clearly states that the noise is a broken motor mount and he would fix it. not acceptable liars don't make good business. He didn't care if I am disabled trying to finish school so I can work again all he cared about was getting the money. He had to have known that he didn't put in motor in right h didn't even put the bolts in the right place. no he can buy the car back I was told a lie I based my decision on buying the car on lies. is that how business is conducted now? "Oh she is a woman she will not figure it out". I can't understand how I doenst bother him not to want to do the right thing. They say you can only have peace by knowing you have done the right thing. He knows he lied to me. I know it and so does everyone else now.Problem not solved but it will be soon.
