Review: The fire alarm system that Alarming Ideas set up for our agency was incorrectly wired (use of non fire protected wires, the system was not self-checking/verifying every 15 minutes, and putting more than one wire to a screw which allows the system to think all floors are fine when a fire could have been active).Desired Settlement: Consumers should be warned and the work quality should be verified since it directly puts peoples safety and their lives at risk

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for providing us this opportunity to respond to this complaint.The customer who filed this complaint called us about 10 days ago to cancel their account with us. We asked why and she simply said that "she turned the system on and it didn't work". We tried to tell her that we would be happy to come their and see what the problem was. Especially since the system is still under warranty. She still just said, no, just cancel it, and then hung up. We assumed she was speaking of the security system, not the fire system, as their is certainly no On/Off switch for a fire alarm system. About a week later we received a call from a [redacted] Fire Marshal, asking us about using incorrect wire on one of our installations. He was "their" with a different alarm company that the Complainant had called in to take over, or at least inspect the system. The Marshal would not tell us where he was, choosing only to ask us about the type of wire in question.
