We apologize for the late
response to the customer complaint filed with the Revdex.comThe sister of one of the
owner’s had been very ill and has recently passed, and we were dealing with our
loss. If needed the obituary was in the
*** *** dated August 21, 2015, and the sisters name was
*** ***.The following is only a brief summary in the chain of events
because, *** *** expressed to us that he “will see us in court before he will
pay us more than 50% of what is owed”It is true that Hot Water Incwas hired by ** *** and
family in March and paid an initial deposit for the replacement of his
in-ground pool liner. ** *** was never
promised that the liner would be installed in AprilIn fact he was informed at
the time of his deposit that, per the liner manufacturer, the installation of
the liner requires the temperature to be above degrees, along with other
factors (i.eice be melted, sunny day…)He said, “As long as it is installed
before my kids get out of school, I’ll be happy”Upon draining the ***’s swimming pool, Hot Water Inc found
excessive repair work that needed to be done to the bottomWhich should have
been an additional fee, but was waived, by Keith, because of *** ***’s
military service. On May 26th, Hot Water had the ***’s liner
installed and began to fill it with their garden hose, because *** ***
did not want to pay the “excessive amount a water delivery company charges”
verses filling it with his garden hosedays later, *** *** called and
stopped at our store in a panic, saying that he must have a leak in the main
drain, because the pool only has 2-feet of water in it and will not fill any
higher.Keith went to their house and placed a plug in the main
drain and turned to hose back onA day later ** *** called us and told us
that his son had played a trick on him and had shut the water off, and wanted
Keith to return and remove the plugWhich we did reluctantly, due to the fact
that they did not turn off the hose, causing the water level to become 4-feet
deep.Keith told the ***’s to fill the pool to a specific level,
and call us once reached it so that we could complete our work. We were never called. We called the customer on numerous occasions,
and left voice mail messages inquiring if the pool was filled. We again received no response. Keith stopped at his residence and found it
at the adequate level to cut in the steps and returnsKeith then told their son
that answered the door that they could finish filling the pool, and call us so
that we could finish the jobOnce again no return call.We heard nothing from the ***’s until a bill was sent to
him for the completed work.To reiterate we have left out some details, which our lawyer
will present if this matter goes to court.Sincerely,Bonnie M

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Keith never talked with any of my sons at the doorIn fact when I asked him what he looked like he couldn't tell meI also asked all my sons and they all told me they have not spoken to KeithAs far as the conversations between Keith and myself, the person that wrote back was never in attendance when promises were made so any information received from them is simply second handIn March when the contract was signed, Keith did tell me that the weather had to get better and as soon as it got better Keith would get started on the liner right awayIt was the last week of April when the weather brokeI spoke with Keith several times since the last week of April and every conversation kept pushing the date back furtherThis was confusing to me because I was told it would only take a few days to do the entire jobFinally at the end of May I spoke with Keith as well as left a voicemail stating I was not happy and if the pool wasn't finished by the time they got out it was a waste of timeRight before the children were out of school Keith came out and did a hap hazard job cutting out along the stepsThe liner is extremely crooked, has duct tape on it, and is bulging out on the left sideAt this time the pool still wasn't finished, the hole for the light had not been done meaning the children could not enjoy the diving board and had to stay out of the deep end because I didn't want the risk of the liner getting ripped where the light isKeith finally came out again the following week and I walked out back and asked Keith what was going onKeith had cut the hole for the light and Keith showed me the ring for the light was brokenNow as long as I have owned the pool the light was never disconnected so there is only one way the ring could have gotten brokeKeith then advised me he had to do another job and would be back to fix the lightI assumed he meant he would be back quickly because Keith left the cover off of the electrical boxIt rained before Keith was able to return to install the lightA few days later Keith returned and told me that the light was no longer workingI told him it had always worked and maybe it was because he left the cover off the electrical boxHe denied that the reason I gave was a possibilityThis was the last time that Keith had been seen until around the first week of AugustNow mind you this was the third week of JuneNone of the stickers required by the State were placed around the pool, the diving board was still not installed, the liner around the steps still have duct tape on the as well as the liner being cut too short in several spots around the step areaAfter around five weeks I had assumed Keith abandoned the job realizing the less than professional way the installation had occurred. In the first week of August Keith apparently showed up unannounced and only put on the stickers that he failed to do legally around five weeks before, left the pink copy of the contract in our mailbox, unsigned on the bottom by me, and on the contract Keith hand wrote that the warranty was in the back yardWhy was it left in the back yard? Keith nor ANYONE at Hot Water Inc., ever tried to call our house or stopped by in those five weeks of abandonmentFurthermore, the lining that was bulging by the steps is still there, the liner fixed with duct tape is still there, the light still doesn't work, the liner was cut too short in spots around the steps meaning that as the weather changes the liner may ripFinally, I was getting ready to have the pool closed for the season when I realized that several plugs were removed that hold down the cover. In closing I would like to add that several promises were broken by Keith on top of the above mentioned itemsKeith had informed me that he had a remote control pool cleaner for sale and he said I could by it, never happenedKeith told me he would service our pool every other week when we signed the contract, never happenedIn my humble opinion I truly believe I was caught up in lies and deceitWhen I filled out my complaint on the Revdex.com I was asked on the website if I would like to involve the mediaAt this point I would ask that the Revdex.com do contact the local media so it could be put on live film not just pictures of the poolI know that once it gets on television it will be made clear that my allegations will then become facts.Regards,
