Review: Hissom Roofing was contracted to replace my homes roof after the area experienced a damaging hail storm mid May 2014. The roof replacement was completed in 5 days with the home owner pointing out numerous installation issuses. All issues at the installation time were corrected. The last issue was not noticed until appr 3 weeks after job comletion. I repainted all valley metal falshing to match the homes color. When painting the front valley section I noticed a nail hole throught the metal falshing. Hole is located appr 2 1/2 feet below roof peak appr 5 1/2 inches up from the bottom on the section. I contacted Hissom Roofing to let them know of the hole the owners son looked at the area in question and explained that the flashing overlap was should be 6 inches, as noted previously the hole is 5 1/2 inches from up from this section of flashing. I explained my concern that this is marginal and the flashing overlap may have been only 5 inches and there is know way to tell if the nail punctured the second the flashing under neath the top section of flashing. I was told at the time the damaged section of flashing will be replaced. That was 5 weeks ago. I was also told via text that the area would be repaired when they repalced my neighbors roof last week. I was again told that the area would be repaired in a couple of days, it's been 8 days now and no repair. I offered to replace the damaged flashing section ,yself if they would give me a section of flashing, flashing is bent in a form which requires a siding break I do not own one. I was going to supply all other material. I received no feedback at all requireding this last offer. I feel that for a roof that cost in excess of $[redacted] dollars this is inacceptable. All I am requesting is a roof that will not leak through weather changes and rain. I have sealed the hole myself but this is only a temporary fix. I also noticed that a few of the old roof shingles were reused on the new roof.Desired Settlement: Have hissom Roofing replace the damaged section of valley flashing as they stated.
