We are visiting from out of town and went to Sweet Lake Biscuit restaurant and parked in a parking lot across the street. When we returned there was a boot and a sticker on our rental car. We called the number on the notice and a man walked out of an unmarked white dodge van, with a screaming child inside and handicapped license plates. He had been clearly waiting for us to return. (There were small signs around the lot saying call this number if towed but there was not one right in front of where we parked and when we arrived there were many other cars present going to the same restaurant and we didn’t notice the signs) There was a second person sitting in a black suv that had “Broncos forever” window decals. He told us we had to pay him $80 and only accepted cash or Venmo, not credit cards. We asked for proof of who he was and he said his name was Gary and provided a business card for AGR Towing and Roadside. We were very taken aback by a random man approaching us and demanding money but had no choice but to pay. We did get a receipt. I looked up the business online and it appears to be registered to Gary Wayne Conrad. As soon as we paid him cash both cars drove off the lot. It was extremely uncomfortable and we feel taken advantage of.

We received a call from management around 10:30 Sunday morning there was around 8 to 10 cars parked in the parking lot that were not suppose to be there so I got there around 11 o’clock in the morning , and booted the cars they were across the street eating breakfast at Sweet Lake. & was not suppose to be parking in that parking lot it is private property it is only for Marisa’s Market , El Meno’s . All other will be booted or towed. So all I was doing was my job , they were the last car and they were parked there over 2 hours . I could have had the car towed but I waited for them.Also there is 10 signs posted on the property.
