I have been dealing with Coastal Marine for over 20 years and bought my first boat from them when they were in Murrells Inlet. I took my 18 foot Scout in for a fuel gauge sender. This item cost about $26.00 and should take a beginner about 30 minutes to install. When I went to pick up my boat, the bill was $280.00 because they said they had to install a new sender, wiring and gauge. I am selling the boat and was going to install all new gauges for a coat of $200.00 The did not call me and let me know what they found or tell me about the additional cost until the job was complete. It's a bad business practice to up sale with out getting the customer's consent. I have made my last trip to Coastal Marine. [redacted], Myrtle Beach, SC.
