I purchased portable corral panels from this company in the amount of $639.00. When my order arrived, the boxes that had been used to ship the product had holes and were badly damaged. I had the UPS driver note the condition of the boxes. Upon opening and inventorying the contents, it was determined that there were items missing. Also, when I originally placed my order the company was out of the solar electrical fence charger. They later "found" one that they included in my order but it was obvious the charger had been previously opened.
I returned this order to the company after many emails back and forth. They refunded only $470.00 of my money. This issue was no fault of my own. They are claiming they are not accepting returns due to COVID-19. There was never a warning when I placed my order. Plus, they did take the return they just won't refund the remaining $169.00 I feel is owed to me.
Our website clearly states our company's return policies. We require the buyer to pay the return shipping and we charge a 15% restocking fee. Customers have the option of paying for the return shipping on their own, or we can send them a return label and we can deduct the return shipping amount from their refund. This customer's complaint was that the boxes arrived damaged. This was due to rough handling from the shipping carrier during transit. We are well aware that this type of damage can occur at times and we offer to replace any items that are missing or damaged completely free of charge. This was offered to the customer. The customer simply did not want to keep the product even though there was nothing wrong with it. We know that return shipping can be pricey which is why we offer to replace items instead of having them be returned to us. Again, the customer did not want to product even if we replaced any missing or damaged items. We are currently not accepting returns due to COVID-19. However, the customer decided to return the product anyways by using our shipping account number without our permission. Since this was the case, we deducted the return shipping cost from the customer's refund amount. We also deducted a 15% restocking fee, as per our return policy. In summary, we tried to resolve the issue by offering replacement items and when the customer returned on their own, we promptly refunded the customer minus the deductions clearly stated on return policy page on our website.
At this time we are willing to offer a goodwill resolution and offer to refund the 15% restocking fee. However, we cannot refund the shipping costs. This is our final offer to resolve the issue and the best we can do.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 14816539, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
