Review: I purchased a home in October 2014 in which we noticed mold after my son was treated for immunology issues. According to the plumber that repaired the problem, the water lines were not tested prior to the Sheetrock being installed. It took weeks to repair the flooded area & remove the mold at the inconvience of my wife & 4 children. Next was the sewerage where the contractor/owner, [redacted], sent a friend of 20 years inspector to flush out the water lines for 5 hours & tell us 'nothing is wrong', yet interventions were performed. I have requested necessary repairs, including my lights flickering, termites & start/complete the punch list. My texts & calls have been ignored & empty promises that this company made to the State of Louisiana Board for Contractors were never fulfilled. The last contact with Mr. [redacted] was to request the punchlist to be completed & our lights to be addressed. The response was 'sue me.' I am unsure as to how this business can ignore the law, ignore contracts & yet are in the process of building 4 more homes less than a mile away.Desired Settlement: I would like for this contractor to honor the sale of this new home, which included a one year builder's warranty. I would like for all of the repairs to be addressed & completed. I would like my home to reflect my monthly mortgage payment. I am asking that this business follow the Louisiana Law on a builder's warranty for new homes.
