Affordable Boat Repair

I hired Danny E to do a Gelcoat job on a 40' boat in its slip in Venice, La. I paid Danny $950.00 on October 24, 2019 to re-gelcoat the exterior of the fishing boat. He began sanding and applying gelcoat to the boat on the morning of October 28 and left that evening. The next day I found that the job was not complete. Not only was it not complete, but it was left without being cleaned up of the excess gelcoat globs splattered all over the boat windows. I contacted him, and he said that it was just a base coat, and that he would be back to fix it.

A week passed, I had not heard from Danny, so I contacted him. He said that he would be back to fix it when he has time. I contacted him over and over again at least fifteen times over a six month period. The last time that I called him was May 19, 2020 in which he gave excuses and used obscene language to tell me he would not be back.

Because of this incomplete job the boat could not be used for over six months. On May 19, 2020, I had to pay someone else to finish the job.
