I visited their facility for 2 X-rays. they charge me on the spot $225/-. Even after paying this high price, they send me invoice. When I asked, they explain that I paid for taking x-rays, and this new charges are for reading x-rays. This is nonsense as I already paid my pcp for reading x-rays. And they never told me that there will be any other charges. $225/- is high for just two x-rays and still they are keep sending bills is nonsense. I will never use their facility and never recommend to anyone.
In response to the Customer Review previously posted, I would like to add some additional clarifying information. The individual seems to have a misunderstanding regarding the medical services that they have received. The individual visited a facility that is owned and operated by a hospital system. The hospital system performed the medical imaging for the individual and apparently charged the individual $225 for the hospital services. The hospital services cover the cost of the medical equipment, technologist and various other hospital staff. The hospital services do NOT cover the additional cost for the Radiologist to interpret the studies that were taken at the hospital. Radiology, Inc. then interpreted the medical studies for the patient and submitted the claim to the individual's insurance company. Following processing by the insurance company, the insurance company applied a portion of the radiologist bill to the individual's deductible and Radiology, Inc. appropriately billed the individual for their deductible as directed by the individual's insurance company.
To state that Radiology, Inc. charged the individual $225 is factually incorrect. The individual seems to be commenting on the hospital charge and not Radiology, Inc. Radiology, Inc. does not own or operate the hospital and was not involved in the $225 charge between the individual and the hospital. Additionally, the individual states that had already paid their PCP for reading the x-rays. The individual may want to consult with their PCP to determine if the PCP did in fact charge the individual for reading the x-rays as PCP do not typically read x-rays, radiologists perform that function.
Thank you.
I called Advocate and talked with a manager about a refund I was due for an MRI co-pay. I had read negative online reviews regarding billing for the imaging clinic I used in Washington State which turned out to be Advocate; reviews indicated that refunds were not paid for months, people were given the run-around, etc. I called loaded for bear and was gruff with the account manager. He was quite professional and answered my questions, and said that a refund had already been processed on a given date for my overbilled amount. I checked my credit card records for that date and didn't see the refund. After talking with my credit card company, they confirmed the refund had indeed been posted to my account, but had posted on a different date. The people I dealt with at Advocate were professional and courteous in the face of a worked-up caller and handled my situation to my satisfaction.
