Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: As of today we have hired another company to finish the work at a cost of $including pulling a city permit which Advantage did not do, fixing the rotten lumber which had not been done and redoing improperly installed flat roof and shinglesI am requesting $for damage from roof leaking from the unfinished roof, $for damage to the A/C condensing unit and $in refund for uncompleted work and redoing his workA total of $which I feel is reasonable as a settlementThank You " [redacted] " [redacted]

I reject ***'s version of the way things happened [redacted] and I disagreed on money involving unforeseens I did what I could with what I had on the flat roof there was absolutely nothing wrong with the shingle roof when I started the job there was so much leaking going on in the house it was not livable after my first day of starting work over there the place was livable again the leaking has stopped all the damage he is claiming there is has been there for months to a year before I ever even showed up I concede that there have been some inconveniences on both sides there was no damage done to any air conditioner [redacted] is taking the word of another contractor that is all about getting the money and there's more money in saying that everything I did was wrong and that it all has to come off then just fixing a few spots that hadn't been finished up yetThe contractor he is using now used to be known as [redacted] I don't think I need to go any further since I mentioned the new contractors nameWhat that other contractor is saying about what I did up there and how the shingles were done is totally and the little Hispanic guys that they use are known for stealing material and his crew knows that I got their number too [redacted] and his crew are both known to be dishonest and say whatever they got to say to get as much money or to milk the customer out of everything they can even if it means running another company downIt's simply not true the roof was put on correctly the flat roof was partially incomplete because I had to cover it up fast because dark was approaching and there was more rotted wood than I expected but I still had to put a roof over it to prevent rain from getting inI don't think $2,is reasonable there was less than $worth of work left to do on that backside that mr [redacted] Roofing to convince them totally need to be tore off and redoneAlso if [redacted] was turning it over to mr [redacted] he could have called me and I would have been happy to meet with mr [redacted] and go over the job with himI was on my way over there told mrThree-star I'm coming over there because they were not being truthful and they hurried up and rip that roof off before I could get there so that they can milk it for as much money as possible rather than just doing the less than $worth of work that needed to be done to finish the side.Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I am rejecting this response because:THERE IS SO MUCH DISAGREEMENT BETWEEN MY PERCEPTION OF THE EVENTS AND THE TIMELINE OF MR *** NOT DOING THE ROOF JOB I DOUBT WE WILL BE ABLE TO SETTLE THIS OTHER THAN IN COURTTHE IMMEDIATE ISSUES ARE NO CITY PERMIT WAS PULLEDWORK WAS NOT DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH WINDSTORM SPECIFICATIONS AND THE WORK WAS NOT COMPLETED IN THE TIME ORIGINALLY DESIGNATED AS DAYS INSTEAD DRUG ON TO OVER MONTHS. THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE A/C SYSTEM AND DAMAGE TO THE INTERIOR DURING THE LONG PERIOD OF THE ROOF NOT BEING COMPLETED.

I was very happy with the service provided--speedy response to my need for a new hot water heater Morris explained all my options and we got up and running within hoursI have used many other professionals in the past and I'd rate MME as one of the best

At this time, I have been contacted directly by French America Line regarding complaint ID 12589124, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
[Actually, I had email 1-22-from Christopher K*** (owner/chairman of French American Line and Uncommon Journeys from Alameda,
CA). In it he indicated he thought I was paid (and I wasn't) and said if I wasn't he would handle and send check when he returned to office from Puerto Rico on 1-23-18. I am hoping this is true because I did get the email on 12-14-(you have copy) that said checks were going out on 12-15-and that turned out not to be true. I hope this is not another stall techniqueI wonder because, the local TV action group I contacted to help told me they called Uncommon Journeys last week and a John R*** (not listed in their phone directory??) told the TV station that Christopher was in but at lunch and would call at 1:when he returned (Of course no call). Also my husband tried to call and Christopher's phone message said something like "I am finally back". This all occurred days before Chris said he was yet to return. At least I now have the email in which Christopher admits they owe me the money. I can send a copy to you, if you want. I'll keep you posted.

I am requesting $500 for damage from roof leaking from the unfinished roof, $500 for damage to the A/C condensing unit and $1000 in refund for uncompleted work and redoing his work. A total of $2000 which I feel is reasonable as a settlement. Thank You "[redacted]
