Review: I purchased glasses from this company (Advanced Vision Care Optometry), but in less than a year the glasses had spontaneously developed cracks in the lenses. The glasses were not dropped or misused in any way. I complained, and was told that cracks in the lenses were not covered by warranty, therefore I would have to purchase new lenses. I was not previously informed that the kind of lenses recommended by the company -- polycarbonate lenses -- were prone to develop cracks, nor that the company would not honor requests for remediation. I spent $425 on these glasses, and I think they should last longer than eleven months!Desired Settlement: I want the company Advanced Vision Care Optometry to replace my lenses at no additional cost.

Response:
Mr. [redacted]
I would like to reach out and help you with the situation of your cracked lenses. As we explained what's written in our warranty policy we extend the warranty to patients directly from the manufacture. Therefore we apply the manufacture warranty directly to the patients. You can view our warranty policy at the link below, and we can accomodate a 25% discount on your next pair of eyeglasses. Thank you very much and we hope that you understand the warranty policy.
Sincerely,
Managing Director

Response:
Dear Ms. [redacted],
I have reviewed the response made in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and I agree that Advanced Vision Care has made a fair attempt to accommodate my concerns.
Since the business relies so heavily on the terms of its warranty, I urge that staff inform customers orally of the warranty, and that paperwork at the time of purchase clearly state the terms and Web location of the warranty. Neither of these was done in my case.
