Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2016/01/05) */
Customer asked us to bid a patio in another town sight unseen with just measurements of the patio and a phone sized picture of the patio and roof.
I explained to the customer that I have not seen theroof in person and couldn't tell him for...

sure how we would be doing the tie-in. Being that it snows during the winter and the different temperatures, the existing material maybe to brittle and we might have to just seal it at the seam with mastic and webbing, if we couldn't get under the existing material without tearing it up.
I informed customer that we would bring metal for the tie-in, in case we could use it at tie-in and our 2 ply system, also mastic and webbing to ensure a solid tie-in either way just in case that was the only way we could do the tie-in.

Customer seen all of our material, base and granulated roll roofing prior to start of work. Customer was also present when edge metal and base work began.

After putting down 2 ply system (as per contract) we got to the tie-in and the old material for the upper roof was to old to separate and tuck under existing roof without ripping material, we then tried to tie-in
underneath the existing roof because customer was persistant that we tried to do it that way.
How ever I explained to him we would try it that way but if it leaked, because we couldn't get the roll roofing material up high enough underneath exisiting shingles without tearing everything up, we would have to just 3 course the tie-in.
After a rain customer called and said it leaked in 2 spots a little bit we went back and triple coursed the entire seam with mastic and webbing as neatly as possible, customer then complained that the roof tie-in looked bad and leaked
everywhere which makes absolutely no since, because it wasn't leaking very
bad to start with.
In conclusion, there was a base and granulated roll roofing SBS 2 ply installed and contract did not state how tie-in was going to be preformed, because we didn't know at the time, and customer wanted the job done A.S.A.P.

2007 inferior workmanship by this company never resolved. They claim its all good even with all shakes landing in my driveway! Stay away.....
