Hello ***,Per our conversation today, just as I had told you over the phone, this student was signed up for the Remedial course previously and was offered an additional date to come to the next class. The original class date was for March and was extended to the next class session for
which she did not show up to. In fact, my secretary *** remembered the mother stating that the her daughter had a foot injury and could not attend and requested the next class, for which we agreed to let her do that. As I mentioned she did not attend a second timeThe complaint states that she was signed up for a class in April for which this is not true, I have provided reciepts for the original March class that she asked to be extended to the next class which would have been in April, again, as I stated she did not attend that class either. We didn't hear anything from this person until August for which she signed up again for the August remedial course and attended that class, and her information was sent into the Illinois Secretary of StateI do however find it funny that she submitted a complaint to your office days prior to coming to my class on 8-26-17. Apparently, she was able to get in contact with us about the August class, pay for the class, attend the class, and recieve a certificate for that class. I know that the lady mentions in the complaint that she tried calling over and over again and only recieved a voice mail. We are very attainable, our office hours are from 10am to 4pm Monday through Friday. Also, in August when she did attend the remedial class, she did not ask for a refund at that time. I believe this is a simple case of sour grapes because she wanted us to continue to extend her payment for the class until she would decide to finally show up and she did in August, finally. We are sympathetic to the needs of all of our students, but we are a business, and can only extend ourselves so much. Asking for a five month extension is just too long, too hard to keep track of and we cannot run our business that way. A refund will not be offered in this case. The customer paid for 1 two hour lesson and never used it. Said she was moving to Canada and requested a refund and asked for it to be mailed. We sent it but she never received it and another one was reissued September 27, 2017 check #[redacted].

because: It is October 6th and the check still has not arrived at the house in Granite City. Either the business is lying, and they did not send a check on 9/27, or they do not know how to address an envelope and apply postage… we have never had issues receiving mail. Local mail does not take over a week. I suggested that they send the check certified mail with tracking, and send me the tracking info, and they did not do this. This would likely solve the problem of it getting lost in the mail, so I am suggesting it again. As to the rest of the business's response: - The lesson was cancelled 30 minutes before and then I was provided with rescheduling options that were unworkable (2 weeks out).- I am temporarily in Canada, but I am a U.S. citizen with my permanent residence in Granite City, at [redacted]; I have family that still lives at the house. Where I temporarily staying is irrelevant to the complaint; I never asked them to mail the check to Canada, because I will be *back home in Granite City*.- I do want to add that I offered to pick up the check in person at the business before flying out, but was told this was not possible, because it would take *14 days* to process a check.- I saw that there was another complaint on the Revdex.com website for Advanced Driving school. I can confirm that they rarely pick up the phone and only return less than half of their calls. The only reason they (claim to have) sent a check on 9/27 is because I called again on 9/22; they never responded to my previous voicemail on 8/21. I hope Advanced Driving School can send a check to me at [redacted]. At this point, I am hoping it will arrive by Christmas.

Hello,I finally received the check on Monday from Advanced Driving School, after rejecting the business's response on Saturday. Please close this case (I don't want them to void the check that I finally received, so please do not tell them to do so).Thanks!
