Review: Admiral Appliance repair came to my house to fix a problem I had with my dishwasher (clogged drain hose). I received a quote for $50 diagnostic fee which would be included in the cost of repair if I used Admiral repair service. The repair man Fred came and said the drain hose is clogged and needs to be replaced. He gave me a quote of $201.00 with a $100 deposit. The repairman did not have the parts, they would be ordered and changed within two business days. I agreed and gave a $100 deposit on a credit card. Five business days and one weekend later I have not heard from Admiral Appliance Repair. I have left multiple messages with their answering service with no reply. I have since called my credit card company and stopped payment. I also called [redacted] in home appliance repair service and had my dishwasher repaired in less than eighteen hours. I try to support [redacted] shops and local businesses but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Why would you ruin your businesses reputation over $50. Be wary Admiral Appliance Repair operates in Brooklyn and Staten Island NY as well as in NJ. They use a different Staten Island address for their NJ business, same business phone number (call answering service). Avoid at all costs, [redacted] repair price was actually cheaper.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and an acknowledgement of Admiral Appliance Repairs lack of customer service. Then I would like no contact with this business ever again!
