Best auto Repair shop I've ever used. Thank you all for your help getting me back on the road.
Thank you Tara, We are glad we could help and we appreciate your Business.
. My fiance and I went to the 1913 to play some pool and celebrate my new job, on this last Friday night. After a couple of pitchers, we did the responsible thing, and called a cab. We have gone there before, and parked in the same lot over night, after taking a cab home. We went back to get my car the next day, and it was gone. There was a man walking on the street, who noticed what we were talking about, and said that he sees someone watching the lot, and reporting it, and that he believes the guy works for the towing company. If that is true, those are predatory business practices, and unethical. Then we noticed a small sign on one side of the lot, that wasn't there before, that warned us that there was no overnight parking. So clearly this was a new thing, and we were in violation. We called the number to the tow company, and found out that it would cost $351.00 to get my small car out of jail. I could not believe the price. We went to pick up my car, and asked the "guy", how much he would charge to tow my car across town if we were just needing a tow service someday, and he told us $50.00. So he was charging us 300$ more for nothing. I got in my car to leave and drove about 1/2 mile down the street, when I realized that my alignment was completely off and my car was making a light rubbing noise. This was NOT like this when I left my car the night before. We called him up again, and told him what was going on, and he told me that there was "no way they did that to my car, and that it was my problem". I said it was quickly going to be his problem, because I was going to file a complaint, and he told me to go ahead and waste my time. All in all, this guy charged me 6 times the rate for a normal tow, and messed up my car to boot, then denied doing it, and was completely rude. I am filing a complaint with the city of Nampa, and possibly filing a civil suit against him. I found many complaints in the form of reviews about this guy, when I investigated online.
AATCO Transmission & Towing was hired to do Private Property Towing from the lot where this gentleman parked his vehicle illegally. At this lot there are multiple signs posted (one on every entrance) stating private property, no parking, and no over night parking. Since this is a newly tow-able lot the owner of said lot posted paper notices on cars letting the customers who have previously parked in this lot know that they were no longer able to do so. ATTCO Transmissions & Towing has been hired to tow all vehicle from this lot who do not have a parking permit per their contract with the property owner. AATCO has a standard rate for an impounded vehicles from a private property towing lot. The customer was charged this impound fee. ATTCO did not damage the customers vehicle in any way. However, the vehicle is towed at owners risk and expense as stated from the posted signs. Every customer is frustrated when they pick up an impounded vehicle and upon pick-up this customer was upset and agitated, making accusations out of anger. ATTCO is sorry for the frustration that can be caused from illegally parking in a Private Property (No Parking) Lot.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: We payed the fee that we were asked to pay, because we had no choice. We were only agitated when we found out that our car was damaged, and when we found out that his fees were completely inflated compared to what a typical tow charge would be. We are not disputing the fact that our car was parked in a lot that had recently become an overnight tow zone. We are disputing the ethical manner in which this company operates, and the careless fashion with which our car was towed. The business operator denies that there is any possible way that our car was damaged by their negligence, but I have already retained statements from experts, which confirm that when a car is towed improperly, alignments can easily become damaged. This company most certainly caused the damage to my car, and I am gathering expert testimony regarding that fact, currently. It does not matter that the sign intends to absolves the company from any liability. That is simply ridiculous. I am a teacher, and I cannot simply post a sign in my classroom that states that I am not responsible for how I return students home at the end of the day. That is preposterous. Reputable and ethical business practices require that due diligence is displayed in trying to mitigate the chances that something goes wrong, by handling processes skillfully and professionally. And when something does go wrong, ethical practitioners, regardless of the business in which they operate, will take responsibility to make things right. This business operator in this case, did the opposite, of any before mentioned best practices.
Sincerely
