Ace Metal Finishing Services

Review: I took a number of items to [redacted] for refinishing and left a $600 cash deposit. The gentleman I work for was shocked by the estimated price for this service and directed me to collect the items and get the deposit back. I called [redacted] and asked if he had started work and he said he had not. I asked him not to start any work. When I went to pick my items up, [redacted] was visibly irritated and gave me only some of my things. I went back several days later and got the rest. He was not there and left me a check for $400.

When I questioned why my entire deposit had not been returned he ignored me at first and then finally said I'd been charged $200 for "wasting his time". I sent three written requests for the balance of my deposit and have been ignored.Desired Settlement: I would like my $200 returned as Ace did not do any work on my items and I feel "wasting my time" is not a valid reason for charging me $200.
