September 4, 2015 Revdex.com, Afterreading through the complaint against us from Mr*** I feel it’s necessaryto tell you the truth and whole story behind this scam artist. So
let’s start from the top. We are a fairly new business and are nextdoor neighbors with Mr*** business. We he first opened, we met when I walked over to his business andintroduced myself. He was friendly andnice, and I thought we wouldn’t have any problems being neighbors. I was soon discover I was completelywrong. He had told me he had a car, aMini Cooper, That he had taken to two different shops and they told him hisengine need extensive work, which he was well aware of. The first shop told him that he needed avalve job to the tune of $2000. He was dissatisfiedwith their diagnosis, so he towed it to another shop. The told him his engine was bad and neededreplacement, in the neighborhood of $4000. He was unhappy with their answer, so he asked if we would take a look atit and price it out. I agreed. When it was towed in, we diagnosed his engineto be bad by scoping it (entering a camera inside the engine to see the damage)and quoted him with the proper replacement engine which the second shop he tookit to did not. The engine he needed wasnot common and finding a good used one was tough. We quoted him roughly $6000. He was very unsatisfied with our quote and Ihad explained to him that the first shop were incorrect with their diagnosis orquotes. He then left his car at our shopfor a week deciding on what to do. Wedid not charge him a dime for diagnosis nor storage. He then contacted me and asked if he had boughtthe used engine himself if we would install it. I had agreed we would and even would keep the install price themsame. We usually charge more forinstalling customer parts, but him being our neighbor, I was going to make hima good deal. He then decided that hewas not going to do it because it was too costly and had it towed out of ourshop. A few days went by and he pulledup to me while I was closing shop and said I should do the job for less sinceit doesn’t look like we were too busy and we needed some work. Basically, trying to get me to lower theprice after I had already given him a great deal. I declined. He then told me he took it back to the first shop to have them do thejob that they quoted because if it didn’t work that they would then owe him anengine! SCAMMER!! This guy just tries to catch people and usethem to get something out of them for free! A few weeks later, he brought in his workvehicle for a flat repair. We fixed thetire at no charge, a good neighborly thing to do. A few weeks after that is when he brought in thevehicle that he is complaining about. Hecame into our front office, threw the keys on the secretary’s desk, and said heneeded an oil change and flat tire repair. She asked him politely to fill out our paperwork, standard procedure forus, and he refused, saying that he was the next door neighbor and didn’t needto. She insisted that he did before we wouldwork on his car, so he wrote down *** as his name and his phone, and thatwas it- no address, no last name, and was quite rude to her while doingso. He did not ask for a price before the work andwe just started on the car. His vehicleis a BMW Xwith a large engine that requires full synthetic oil and a lotof it. Our price then for an oil chargewas $which included a filter and quarts of oil. His needed quarts. Our price for additional quarts was $8.99. When I started working on his flat tire, Ifound a nail through the shoulder of the tire, in a spot deemed unrepairable byTIA standards (Tire Industry Association). Since his vehicle is all wheel drive, it is imperative to have the sametread depth all the way around on the vehicle to as not damage the wheeldrive system. I called Mr*** andexplained that we would not be able to fix his tire and quoted him for a pairof tires that I could get the next day. It was Friday when he came in and my ability to get tires on a Saturday wasslim. He said he would talk it over withhis wife and let me know first thing the next morning. He then told me he just had his vehicle atthe dealer, for reasons unknown, and that they had told him he was due for his100,mile service. He asked if Iwould quote it for him. I looked it upand quoted him just about $1100, which included new spark plugs. He said that was $less than the dealerand he knew it needed to get done, but declined to do it at that time. I then proceeded to tell him his vehicle wasready and he could come get it. When hecame into pay for it, he had no problem with the price, paid cash, and told usto keep the change. He didn’t even wanta receipt. I thanked him for hisbusiness and he left. The next morninghe came back, yelling at me that we had *** up his car and a check enginelight was on. I told him all we did wasan oil change, so calm down and let’s find out what the problem was. We scanned the check engine light code andfound that he had a misfire on cylinder #3. I then told him that it was most likely the spark plugs he needed toreplace (remember, he asked me for the 100K service, and that was part of it). He then declined to have the work done. Now, if that’s all he wanted to do wasreplace the spark plugs, the price would have been less expensive. He asked for the whole 1000K service, which includedmore than just that. He left mad andblaming me that we had done something. Changing oil doesn’t ruin spark plugs… He then came back the next weekend, screaming at me that he had to get areceipt and that we were going to pay of the damage we had done. I told him that he needed to leave if he couldn’tstop yelling at me and that he would have to prove it in court that we had donesomething incorrectly. He then wentonline and wrote an untruthful review about what had happened. He then proceeded to write another untruthfulreview about us under a different name on the same website (see google plus-*** *** and *** ***). We havehad a bad taste since then. Every time Iget the chance when I see him, I just wave and smile at him. It doesn’t bother us that he writes badreviews, I think people can read past it. So weeks ago now, we saw him getting a parking ticket again forparking his work vehicle in a load/unload zone for more than minutes. We all cheered from the shop as the lady waswriting him up and he turned and gave us middle fingers. We laughed harder and he moved his car. As he was going back into his store, he gave usthe birds again. More laughtercontinued That afternoon he decided topull up outside of our front gate and waved me to his car. He was threatening me saying that he was goingto make us sorry. I waved him off andcontinued working. The next day, he hadcopied and pasted his bad review to Yelp. He then obviously contacted you guys about this filing a complaint. I don’t know what his real problem is. We have always been nice, taken care of himbetter than a customer due to the fact he is our neighbor, but he stillis just trying to make it tough on us. Idon’t think it makes any sense for us to reimburse him the oil change sincethat is not the underlying cause of the problem he had with the vehicle. If we had damaged it, would he want us to payfor the damage? He is just looking toget services done for free and trying to manipulate people thinking, but I’mnot falling for it. He is a scam artistand a clown, always looking for someone else to blame than take the fault forhis own actions. If the Revdex.com decides thatwe should reimburse him, I will gladly walk over to his store personally and doso. Otherwise, I would like thiscomplaint removed immediately and held without value. Thank you,Dave P***attached is the work order he filled out (or didn't fill out or sign) and the quote for 100K service and tires

hi [redacted],I just like to inform you that I have resolved the dispute issue with the Business and that I like to make sure that your record shows that the case was resolved.Thank you [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:1-the service I received was not done properly and caused me more problems that I never had with my car.2-when I drove in  to their lot I did not have a check engine light on my dashboard and when I got my car back I have a check engine light and the car became not drivable.it obvious and doesn't need a 2 page explanation.3- I ended up paying extra money that I didn't have to if Ace Auto repair and tires didn't trigger a check engine light to come on and did the oil change properly.Note: a good business man should argue with his customers and get on the defensive side, instead he should listen and try to address the problem amicably and show good faith.BTW:  I am not the only customer complaining about the dishonesty in the service, others have experienced the exact same thing with Ace Auto repair and tires., please see attached review from another customer Sincerely,[redacted]
