My experience was reasonably pleasant until I realized I was being lied to for several hours. I went to trade in my vehicle. When I was interested in a car, I was told and saw on the paper that the trade-in value for my car was $4,800. After several attempts when the numbers couldn't quite work out for my desired outcome, I decided on another much cheaper vehicle. We were assured by our salesperson, Jordan, that our $4,800 trade-in value would be applied to this vehicle as well. The numbers worked out, and we were all set. Hours later, in the finance room, the trade-in value of my vehicle was suddenly $1,800. That's because the car I was buying was much cheaper than the one I was initially interested in when I was told my trade-in value was $4,800. It was never communicated to me that the value of my vehicle reduced by $3,000 when we moved the new car and that I could've gotten a much better deal had it stayed at $4,800. The deal was misrepresented and sneakily negotiated by Jordan who assured me more than once the trade-in value was $4,800. I ended up taking the car because the desired outcome was achieved for all parties; it's just the miscommunication and lies it took to get there were unethical and wrong. I am happy with the car, but my car-buying experience was not very good at the end. It was bad business.
